I wanted to share my nostalgia for The Simpsons - Bart's Nightmare on my own channel too.

Let's be honest, Simpsons games were generally a bit rubbish. Mostly designed to cash in on that juggernaut hype, many a parent were duped into buying sub par games for their kids.
But what if the first game you ever bought with your first pay check was in fact a Simpsons game AND you loved it? Let's have a talk about one of my favourite SNES games...

I think the old lady is supposed to be Mrs. Glick, The episode where Bart wants to buy that Radioactive Man comic and does lots of odd jobs for Mrs. Glick to help pay for it. (the "boys love candy", out with the Iodine lady)
Yeah she has crossed my mind but I don't think it's her either. Manual has her as 'grandma' and it's absolutely not Marge's mum nor Grandma Simpson Mona! Think they just stuck generic old woman #5 (the poor Lou Bega follow up)
Nice video mate. I’ve never played this one. Some people forget just how massive The Simpsons were.
Early 90s it was EVERYWHERE
Varied quality of the gameplay aside wow this _looks_ great!
Absolutely nailed on the graphics for an earlier ish SNES game for sure!
Out of all The Simpsons games I played back in the day this was not one of them, I think if I did I probably would have the same kind of nostalgia for it Fart from watching this and listen to you talk about it It's probably not a game I would enjoy now, My kids laugh when I tell them how huge The Simpsons was Back in the day, How I used to play games in the arcade, Couldn't wait for the next episode to come on TV, Had plenty of Bart Simpson t-shirts And used to sing along a long to the Bart rap 😂😂😂Fantastic video mate thanks for the memories And I hope you re having a wonderful weekend

I didn't have much merch stuff aside from a sticker book that came with 3D glasses.. no idea where that went !
Unironically love this game. It's not bad after you get the hang of it.
Absolutely agree. I went into Virtual Bart with that same mindset but just didn't have fun with it. Spose I needed more nostalgia towards it

THE SIMPSONS games, i have ever played on my friend's Sega MegaDrive 😹🕹️.
It is pretty random - but I guess they get away with having free licence as it was alllllll a dream!
Oh christ. I remember getting this when I was like 10 and i thought I was so bad at games because I couldn't figure this out
it has no difficulty progression - starts of tough and doesn't let up till game over =! So you definitely were not alone. Thanks for taking the time to comment!

I've only ever played Bart Vs the Space Mutants, the Arcade game, and Hit and Run. I probably should expand my Simpsons videogame experience 🤔

I remember being bombarded with early Simpsons series TV wise back in the day for sure but oddly enough don't think I ever played any games involving them over the years. Very nice video Jim fair play.🎮🌅🍀
For the most part they are honestly best avoided. Not objectively good games at all until possibly Road Rage

Simpsons was so hot back then. But the SNES games were so frustrating lol. 😁
Yeah I think Krusty's Super Fun House is abysmal 😊 but yeah Simpsons was bugger than Michael Jackson at one point... And that is megastardom levels

Algorithm bump
It certainly looks really nice and game play seems to be better than some of the other Simpson games, for sure. But still looks a bit messy in the game play department. Don't think I ever played any of the SNES Simpson games back then.
I'd argue this is the best one. They could have had an absolute winner with the Itchy and Scratchy game that came out much later but it is truly abysmal
Had this one back in the day, fairly sure it was a naughty pirate copy on diskette though ☠️ .
Definitely the best simpsons game till hit and run.

@SuperJim and I thought it was just me with terrible short term memory issues. It's crap getting older but nice to look back and remember simpler times
I have a very similar relationship to this game as you! It was the first SNES game I bought with my own money; I just found it while my family was on vacation over the Christmas holidays. I still played it way too much because it was what I had and The Simpsons were the coolest at that point (kinda like peeing your pants).
Also, thank you for letting me know about the L and R thing in the Indiana Bart level - I had NO IDEA about that!
