Very nice and informative demonstration, greatly appreciated. Any idea on the colours of the wires of the tail lights? I am having problems (Canbus unit?? Where is it) and am seriously thinking of rewiring the tail lights and reverse lights. Any help would be highly appreciated. 2009 model, A180d.
great video.one question i have a w169 A 170 elegance.when i switch on the high beam is going of after maybe 10 seconds and going on again and of.like that.what can be the problem?
Hello I have a MB claas A avangarde 150 (W169) 2005. I can not find any video in order to change the front bulb H7. could you please the deal a video tutorial with this topic. Thank in advance.
Unfortunately I cannot, because this was not my car nor it is available to me any more. As far as I know, you would need some good quality canbus LED kit. If your car has projector lens, you would need to find LED bulb kit that would perform good with the lens. 4 chip LED or very slim 2 chip kits to eliminate certain shadow spots
I am not sure about dashboard lights, I think they are LED. I would have to look into it next time I get close to this car. If you have regular bulbs there, you would need to use canbus led conversion, since the system is all canbus.
I have a 2006 W169 A150 and the courtesy light / interior light cluster isn't working now. I can't find information regarding which fuse it is for this. Do you know which fuse ( I think it is probably a blown fuse) on the W169 for the interior, door open courtesy light and also the two reading lights in the overhead cluster ? Great video btw
fuse box should be on the floor on the right side of the car; somewhere where you put your feet when sitting. It may be fuse 3 or 22 or some other fuse(you need to check). Worst case scenario it would be a bad module(let's hope that it isn't)
@@artworkslights Thank you for responding. I checked these fuses and are all good. My friend has a diagnostic machine so hoping to get some direction as to the problem. Everything else seems to be functioning normal, just the interior light/s cluster.
@@artworkslights Thanks again for replying. I took the car to my friend that has a diagnostics tool and it came back everything clear. I took the overhead light cluster out and took it apart, inside is a PCB with quite a few ICs. I decided to take a chance and ordered a 2nd hand unit on eBay (made sure same part number) and it works. Thanks again for your responses.
I have 2010 A160 in the UK and I was thinking about doing the door ones with the laser logo projectors..... until I realised my car doesn't even have those door bulbs 😂 guess it's a federal mandate thing or something that you guys must have them?
No, there is not federal mandate for interior door lights. I think it depended on a trim of the car. You could get them installed in any case, if you want.
@@artworkslights Yeah I've got the Classic Blue efficiency so I won't call it the cheap model, I'll call it weight saving 😂 I thought I'd have to change the whole door card but it looks like the cupholder section of the bottom part is a separate piece? @@psions555 in these cars every little stupid thing was an option when ordered new from a dealer. I think that it may have wiring for everything there, just need to find it inside. Wiring things yourself is a pain, I know, but we do things different to be different....

this car has a module that deals with lightning. try disconnecting the battery in the car for 15 minutes and re-connecting. If it doesn't solve the problem, try installing the same old bulbs in the car and see if it will start working again. if not, then the module is on it's way to death.
@@artworkslights where is that module? In the ecu? Is there any possibility to be the led bulbs' problem? I don't think the oem old bulbs are lit that way. Only with the new Leds.
@@DavourisRX8 I don't know where the module is and not sure which one is it, since I never worked with any electrical or electronic system of this type of car. It may be bcm. Try all the other ways first, then worry about actual modules.
@@artworkslights I put can bus Led on the one side and oem bulb to the other side and they worked fine. They did not lit. So I suppose it is a voltage issue. More electricity given than needed. I do not know how to solve it. Resistors maybe but I don't know where to install them.
Hey, quick question? I have w169 2007, do I need h7 canbus led lights for front or I can use just normal led lights? I'm asking because canbus are twice more expensive than normal leds so I don't throw money on canbus if I don't have to! Thanks
I would suggesting with Canbus, but you should be also able to buy it separate from the LED kit, which could be better for installation and sometimes cheaper.
Does the onboard electronic complain about a broken light bulb? Sometimes chinese use a resistor in parralel which is insanely stupid wastes energy like the incadescent lamp and just cooks the leds
I tried to explain in this video that this car has canbus system , so I had to use canbus led conversion. I think they had electronic built in resistors. This car has old canbus system so it is still relatively easy to beat it.

spin the left reset button for the odometer reset, it is springloaded and usually wants a little twist
Twist the reset button to the right and u will get more light in ure dash😉

Ciao avresti il link per acquistare questo kit led
Hello. It is difficult to sent you to the right seller, as these lights had evolved and replaced with more advanced version.
let me ask you ,,how can I change the interior light in the odometer I mean , to make it brighter??

it may be LED already and that would be very difficult
