My grandfather was a cattle farmer. We roasted beef all the time in a lidded roasting pan with some water, brown it first in a little oil, generous salt and pepper, no aluminum foil needed. Low and slow - 250 for hours. Comes out very tender and you get a little broth too!

The guy that told you about the termination seeds is right on, but good soil is what it’s all about, if your soil is good, organic, friable soil, you will have great plants. Organic fully ripe veggies you might be able to grow from seed. But grocery store vegetables will probably be GMO grown and won’t be viable for you and one reason is systemic poison in the fields and non viable seeds. Also grow from plants farmers in your area grow and the right time of year. Have fun and I love your videos and your great tastes in style and ambition. Thank you

I made six cups of rice yesterday and spiced it up. Today, I fried up chopped up chicken thighs and mixed the refrigeraterated rice with the Asian salad kit. I split it all into six portions and made refrigerated meals and it tastes great cold. I sprinkled a little soy sauce before I ate it and it was the bomb!

Tomorrow, I will add peanut sauce instead of soy sauce and I know it will be even more delicious. I again will eat it cold.

Its already happening that people cannot tell good from bad. When you hear people making excuses for obviously evil behaviors those people no longer have discernment of evil.

Once you have a deep pantry, you can only buy the foods you eat when it is on sale. I have canned so much jam. It's crazy. We will probably give some away at Christmas. We have a fig tree. It has been super productive this year. We have made fig and strawberry, fig and peach, and fig and pineapple jam as well as fig chutney. I also canned whole figs and made refrigerator cinnamon fig preserves. This is in addition to giving my elderly neighbor several dozen figs a week and eating fresh figs every day.

Foil is becoming a precious metal. Thanks for the tips Rhoda. High protein diets are good with a little carb involved. I slipped on the carnivore and missed chocolate and fell off.

Hi Rhoda - i came across an episode of the "Diary of a CEO" on youtube that i think is very interesting about preparing for the future. Would love to see what you think. It is long but persevere!. the episode is called "The Professor Banned for Speaking Out : We need to start preparing before it's too late". Very similar to your message but with a few new things. He is a little less practical than you in his message which is why i still love watching your vids :D

In bad times, a good skill to practice is making a good gravy. Gravy makes bread better when you are out of butter. It tops pasta which is easy to keep. Gravy even makes veggies tastier if out of cheese. And it's simple. Besides foods, stock up on spices and bouillon to make the simplest dish tasty. No meat, beef gravy satisfies. no chicken, chicken gravy satisfies. Onion/garlic/lemon gravies satisfy. Canned mushrooms added to gravy with pasta is very satisfying.

I went to Smart & Final, for the first time in years since I had a doctor appt nearby. I wasn't impressed. Prices are like Fry's (Kroger). Then I went to Trader Joe's and tried some things. I like them better but too far from my house to go on a regular basis. I buy markdowns and reduced as much as possible.
