Your hosts are such a nice people! The trip was great! 🙂 Small request from us, Earthlings: please show more of the seas, sails and waves. I think many of us would love to see takes like at 2:02, 3:41 or 5:54 each for a minute non-stop or even longer! Thanks 🙂
The nth Island is a amazing area to sail. If you have the opportunity to sail Milford sound.........you'll be blown away. Another great vlog, fair winds.
You're allergic to the cold James, lol this is the complaint of most people in Ireland, our summer is a slightly warmer version of winter and one of the reasons I live in the tropics now......be ready for all that when you eventually arrive around the Celtic sea ☘
Discovered Whangaroa almost 30 years ago and lost count of the nights I've anchored there when visiting to cruise and fish that area and further north. Certainly one of the most stunning harbours in Aotearoa. That marlin was actually a little small compared to what would normally get caught.
Dammit James, when they going to get your engine back to you, it’s interesting watching you improvise with the dinghy on your hip. But I’m also looking forward to seeing your diesel back running in Triteia. I’m sure you are too. Tell them boys to Chop chop and do a good job.😅
Cold Aversion ?, Head down to the geothermal springs at Rotorua south of Auckland. You are required to learn the Haka and film you doing it. Beautiful area and people.
so it kind of hits different seeing this when you read about that man who was rescued after months adrift on his way from South America to French Polynesia....
@@SailorJames Yeh I thought that something smells. Just up the coast Manganui Harbor is very similar, they claim to have the best fish and chip shop in the world as well.
I have watched you explore Catalina Island. Turn around first Hawaii effort. Steer by bucket to get to Hawaii. Buck seas around Hawaii islands. And head out to French Polynesia. I was not being impatient watching your recent talk. I did not list ‘ketch’ in asking my question on Dreadnought 32 thoughts. No worries. I look forward to more adventures. Fair winds to all.
@@SailorJames Now the geek in me wants to know if they're counter-rotating engines. I also assume that the genny he speaks about has a separate power plant.
Whangaroa Harbour is a true treasure of Aotearoa. I t deserves better than to be shown as a killing ground of beautiful creatures by people who don't give a shit.
Your friends are so nice. Always smiling and calm.
Gosh, what a beautiful few days of sailing! That Catamaran is very nice as well.
"Five knots of heaven" is so insanely accurate. Well said.
What a beautiful boat in a beautiful continent, thank you for sharing .
Thanks for the upload sailor James

Perfectly timed and awesome as always!
If you go to Oban on Stewart Island, try the blue cod and chips at the South Sea Hotel. That's the best I've ever had, and I'm British.
Amazing journeys James keep it going and be safe thanks for sharing take care
Wonderful episode to share!

RUclips is time delayed, my engine has long been done and back in, the video of me reinstalling it is coming up in a few weeks 👍🏻
Great content as usual.
110K. Wow. 150K is right around the corner. Congratulations

Awesome❤
Not quite as big as Whanagaroa, but with a cut that is hard to spot is Whangamumu - just south of BOI. Hope you got to see that.
Yeah I visited there as well and loved it 👍🏻

That dude is a con artist , it’s a bullshit story
@@SailorJames Yeh I thought that something smells. Just up the coast Manganui Harbor

That story reeks. He lost his electronics. He had good sails and a compass. There was no reason for him to be adrift for 3 months.
My guess is he was “at sea” for like 2 weeks
Definitely a con. There’s many contradictions in his stories! Safe travels James!
THANKYOU JEHOVAH 🌎
LOVE YOU CAPTAIN JAMES 😍😁💋
🌈🌎❤️
I live by the harbour. if your ever back this way ill shout you a beer

Thanks for following along 🙏🏻
🙏
The things I would do for that boat would land me some jail time for sure. 😂
😂😂😂
holiday !!!!
Nice catamaran! I imagine it sails completely different than the beloved Triteia? But what do I know here lying on my couch?⛵
Catamarans are pretty much just power boats with an auxiliary sail, so yeah nothing like a monohull
@@SailorJames Thanks James. Awesome channel I enjoy watching your adventures! Stay safe cheers🍻
Fish & chips? Sail to Oban Scotland if you want some of the best fish & chips.
New Zealand has amazing Fish and Chips
@2:57 - One engine or do they run both at the same time? I understand this has dual Yanmars?
You run them both at the same time
@@SailorJames Now the geek in me wants to know if they're counter-rotating engines. I also assume that the genny he speaks about has a separate power plant.
I think just the props are opposite pitches but don’t know for certain
I am also allergic to the cold! I dont even get in til July. Those Tuna people are speaking English, but I cant understand them.
😂😂😂
Prefer your solo sailing James. Good to see you having a break though.
Wie ein Raum Schiff ....
That fish literally feed entire village lol
😂
Are you waiting for stairs the your boat
🤔
I think someone is going to end up with a cat lol
Nope, never

I watch the whole video waiting for a fish and chip report ?
Nobody should be killing marlin in this day and age. Like lions, tigers and other top predators they need to be protected. ✌
