Sorry to break it to you Patterz but Link has canonically died before many times. While we don’t know how it happened in this instance, he does appear as a skeleton in Twilight Princess teaching skills to a new Link. Twilight Princess is also the sequel to Majora’s Mask so... yeah...
Edit: I am aware he did not die in the woods, I was just saying we know he died but not the cause. Sorry to cause an argument...

Another thing about the link is dead thing is in the Twilight Princess (which is one of the next games in the timeline), there is a skeleton person that comes from the woods and teaches you how to use your sword and shield.
He also claims to be "the old hero" or something like that
Edit: he's a stalfos, like explained in the video and i think he was called "the hero of time", which is exactly the same title as the Link in ocarina of time / majora's mask.

Mainly because it gets a bit weird timeline-wise if all links are related and even weirder if all links are related and so are all zelda's. I don't have to explain what that family tree would look like to know why all links and zelda's being related is a bit weird.

What you said about the fallout plague theory is actually kind of ironic. You said that since its a one off side quest about a character that doesn't matter, its not going to be a big plot point for future games. However, Fallout 3 literally has a one off side quest that has to do with a character that doesn't really matter, and that side quest was about a guy from the commonwealth who is part of an organization called the institute. And this guy is in the capital wasteland to track down a synthetic human that had ran away from the institute. And during this quest you even meet a woman who is part of an organization calling themselves the Railroad. And she tells you that they help runaway synthetics start a new life.
Now a reminder, what I just wrote was not the plot of fallout 4, it was the plot of a random side quest in fallout 3. Which was taken and used as the plot of fallout 4. So it literally is possible that fallout 5 could be about a deadly plague lol.

Fun fact about Detroit Become Human:
According to the game itself in a pretty out of the way ending, it's revealed that androids going deviant is a planned thing the manufactures made as a stunt to sell more androids. Connor's entire point was to at the last minute, take leadership of the android rebellion and I guess lead them to oblivion or failure while the company prepares to release androids again but without that happening
To put it simply: The story is that the manufactures intentionally caused androids to gain sentience to create a prejudice narrative towards androids so they can get people to buy robots that won't do that.
This is real btw. Not making that up as much as that sounds crazy. That's a real ending that is canonical to the story.
So while I get the theory sounds kinda messed up to say the androids never gained sentience, the game pretty much said racism and a rebellion was a planned thing by the company.
EDIT: Also Fun Fact that I think is important that I forgot to say and really should've been the comment:
In that scene where there's a bunch of androids are shouting "Set us free!", 90% of the crowd came from passersby and not from like... androids who were already deviant to begin with. the person in front leading the march literally walked in on the streets and started looking at androids around them and waved their fingers towards them to make them deviant, with them immediately joining the crowd to do the march, all of them saying the same thing in unison, all doing the same gestures/movements as each other. So... yeah that suggestion that androids getting sentience is a virus... ;^_^
While I don't think it's the writer's intention and personally don't believe it, there's an out of the pan into the fryer reading I get from that scene.
From obeying a possibly jackass owner, to following a new owner as they tell the androids to stand/sit in front of gunfire for their movement that the androids never agreed or consented to and was forced upon by their new owner to partake in because they were in a certain place at a certain time.

However when Bioware made their epilogue dlc to try and make the masses happy, all it really did was show that the indoctrination theory was wrong, which annoyed more players. Mass Effect 3 was just a disappointment at every level. I first played the game without any DLC either, so I had no epilogue, no citadel, no javik, and no leviathan. So without the most important character, the vital backstory to the enemy threat, the best part of the game with all your favorite charactera, and an ending that tells what the hell happened to anyone, it was the worst gaming experience i had ever had... until Dying Light 2

They might have a virus that breaks their coding, but with the virus giving the androids a sense of self and an ability to make and take their own choices then the virus may have acted as an evolutionary vector giving a form of sentience. Was that not the point of the game? To make you question these things?

Both, depending on the theory he is "analysisng". Sometimes he just ignores some pieces of counter-evidence that would weaken his theory, other times he outright ignores all the evidence going gainst himself. An example of the latter one is his Ace Attorney video were he claims that Phoenix Wright hid a piece of evidence, yet the footage of the game he is showing contradicts this because it shows how the detective finds said piece of evidence and all throughout said case there's no mention of Phoenix hiding evidence (even when it would have benefitted the big bad of the case's own arguments).
