He’s not a trained musician and he never sang until he was 17, when his high school music teacher discovered his talent and gave him free voice lessons. However, he has a really good ear for music. He has high requirements for his music arrangements. The whole reason he joined the show, both in 2013 and 2017, was because of full orchestra and the wonderful sound systems provided by the show. He never cared about winning, only for giving good performances. I think this song is perfect for him and showcases his best singing range. His falsetto is one of the most beautiful I’ve heard, and I love how he gradually transitioned from falsetto to head voice and then to head mix as he built up the climax of the song. It’s subtle but it takes real skill to make it so smooth. And his breath support is amazing. He can really hold some long notes. Traent, I enjoy your reviews. Thank you. You should go back to one of his concerts from 90,s. He did real pop style as well as clasical and opera. His English is just as great now as it was then. I have heard singers live going back to Johnny Mathis, Steve Lawrence etc. Never heard anyone better then Terry Lin. I can't even explain what I think about him and his heavenly, soulful and dynamic Voice and that doesn't even discribe him.
