A rather cool VW campervan, the Camper King Portofino In association with: igneousassetfinance.com/our-p... With thanks to: www.dolphinmotorhomes.co.uk/
The great thing about these is that you can go almost anywhere a regular car can go, and they're so easy to drive. But call me spoiled (or old) but if there's no toity it's not for me... Thanks for the tour!
looks good Nick, but if I had 70K to buy a campervan / motorhome I'd driving out in the Eldis Envy from two weeks back. That had everything most people would have on their camper wish list. I likes me comfort.
@@michaelrimmer4200 I've seen literal houses on property for 40k. Anyone who spends 70k on one of these needs to do some re evaluation or they just have plain f you money.
Hey Nick I really like the look of this campervan because it's the best of both between a family everyday car and a great camper that wouldn't look out of place at a car meet, have a great Saturday bud
@@oxheymackem true and I'm sure there's other negatives but on the other hand there are lots of positives like the ability to park anywhere a car can, a very comfortable 3 belted seat for passengers which if you have kids is a massive help or maybe that's just my kids 😉 but I do like the look of this camper too
It is a brilliant vehicle, but one for the youngsters - at my age access to a heads is essential to avoid disappearing behind the bushes in the middle of the night.
Same here, if I'm completely honest though when I'm out wild camping a wide mouth nalgene bottle is a godsend when you're wrapped up warm in your sleeping bag at night! 😁
Wow, I was not expecting that when you open the sliding door to reveal a little hidden gem that’s fantastic. We’ve got our camper Kontiki Swift now, but that is a super little wagon and the colour is gorgeous. Also it’s VW in German so it’s build quality. Thanks for the videos. We really enjoyed them. ☺️🇬🇧
Hi Nick, And thank you for this nice show of this VW Camper King Portofino a nice motoerhome van in a remarkable color easy to find your van back in a bust camping ground, travel 5 guest but say sleeps four the only thing I miss is a travel toilet in there but it is a cozy small motorhome thank you nick a great show 👍👍👍👍
Get something big enough to have a separate bathroom and you’re unlikely to be able to store it at home. If a bathroom is a deal breaker there are lots of options within £10k of this to chose between, but you lose the ease of storage and the option to conveniently daily drive the unit. You pay your money an make your choices.
Well it's not a Hymer. Not exactly the Galeon of mini-RV's, but it's like the Riviera of Mini-RV's. Not enough gadgets and tricks to make it the Galeon. Plus Nick didn't break, anything so that right there is a clue...lol. j/k Nick.
Hi all new to the group, can advise as we are currently looking at vw campers, whots the advantage of 20'' rims over 18'',as I've been lead to believe , tyres are more expensive and harder to get in certain areas, and the ride is not as forgiving as 18'' and mpg not as good, all this helps thanks in advance.
I've been a fan of the VW Campers for a while and it's good to see one with the oven in the right place. However, I don't see a fridge in this one? At the same time, £70k, maybe I'm looking at a proper motorhome??
i love you nick, it dont matter if motor or aquaholic you doing an AWESOME job! yacht is maybe unreacheble but like the most the biggest dream but for me not affordeble. i hope in mybe 5-10-15 years i can by a nice morelo liner for about 350k or so but these the entry level but still the fream i chase
Don’t understand why they are so popular. I know it can be used as a daily driver, but it’s really just a glorified tent. Motor caravan with all mod cons for same price much better.
You can spot the insecure folk a mile off. Popping in with their negativity. I can imagine they sap the life out of the folk around them.🤣. It’s the same folk I see popping up on other videos, absolute sand baggers with absolutely nothing in their own lives so they’ve gotta put a negative spin on everything. Yeah these vans are a lot of money, so are motorhomes, caravans and every other mobile home………but whatever works for each individual doesn’t have to work for the next person. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. It’s tragic that these people always have to give their useless not needed, stupid, negative comments. Never a positive word to say. It’s a really cool van, no one can say it’s not, it’s maybe not for everyone but it will 100% work for someone and that’s all that matters. Some folk will suck the life out of anything. Anyway, cool video.
The outlandish price makes this simply a rich person's plaything. I'm sure the WAGs will love taking a dump, washing, or performing other personal hygiene in a nearby hedge, so you're tied to campsites. The suggestion of organising and cramming kids (and their clobber) in there for anything other than a day trip is fantasy.
VW have a great look with these transporter vans, however, they have become hugely overpriced for what you get. £70k can buy a very good coach built motorhome with a bathroom and double beds.
Just what I said ages ago Nick ideal only vehicle for those who can't afford to run 2. Toilet, use a portaloo. Fridge use a cold box. Stop being a whimp and do some real camping that you and the kids can enjoy, save the luxuries for home! Great vehicle!
It's a 70k toy for a campsite. I feel sorry for anyone who is dumb enough to buy a new little vw campervan. Get a tent and lots of hotel rooms instead 🤣
The great thing about these is that you can go almost anywhere a regular car can go, and they're so easy to drive. But call me spoiled (or old) but if there's no toity it's not for me... Thanks for the tour!
I blinked and missed the en suite, and the crew cabin. My bad. 🤣 (just kidding, of course) 🍷Cheers!
nice van, you didn’t mention the diesel heater and where’s the fridge ?
This camper looks very cute and cozy. Just feels like a nice place to have casual relaxing and enjoying yourself.
Loved that they realized the clothes hangers in back shouldn’t be too long or else they’d break the back window - good thinkery
looks good Nick, but if I had 70K to buy a campervan / motorhome I'd driving out in the Eldis Envy from two weeks back. That had everything most people would have on their camper wish list. I likes me comfort.
Great for the weekend getaways.
Crazy price for what you're getting. No shower, no bathroom for 70k.... not to mention how tiny it is inside.
For that type of money i can get a good used rv that in good shape.
@@michaelrimmer4200 That's was I was thinking. Hell, even on this channel there's plenty of new ones under that price with loads more to offer.
It’s a day van rather than a camper, unless you want to pay camping site fees that is. But expensive is the understatement.
Whole lot of money for a whole lot of not too much
@@michaelrimmer4200 I've seen literal houses on property for 40k. Anyone who spends 70k on one of these needs to do some re evaluation or they just have plain f you money.
aweome little rig. makes me think of road trip possibilities.
Hey Nick I really like the look of this campervan because it's the best of both between a family everyday car and a great camper that wouldn't look out of place at a car meet, have a great Saturday bud
You too! 🙂
A lot heavier than a family car and would cost considerably more to run.

I hear you! 😳

That's nice to hear 🙂
Nick never ever disappoint 💪🏾😎💯
That’s quite the nice little unit. 👍👍

Just don’t understand why anyone would want to spend that sort of money on a camper and still have to crap in a bucket

If crapping is the most important thing in your life then you're welcome to look elsewhere
Another good video nick and a nice camper 👍👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Glad you enjoyed it 🙂
I take it the head restraints can be removed for the bed, and is there a blackout curtain for the pop top?
Lots of money for what you get. I'm a VW lover but I reckon I'd get something with a loo for that price! Its nicely done but... Thanks Nick!
... And a beautiful Blue color...😎
6:19 looks like that strap is intended to be used when folding the seat back up.

I'm not sure if I could get use to driver on the opposite side lol
Your presentation is on point but the conversion is very lacking within that market ..... please see eco wagon
I'd swap the cooker for a wetroom and have a pull out kitchen from the rear.
Nice colour and trim the looks good , personally I'd prefer it on a Mercedes Vito as I'm not a fan of the VW Transporter van . Many thanks Nick 👍
No fridge ?

They look cool.
Why so many burners etc if you dont even have a fridge?
I love these to bits but can’t justify the price
I've been a fan of the VW Campers for a while and it's good to see one with the oven in the right place. However, I don't see a fridge in this one? At the same time, £70k, maybe I'm looking at a proper motorhome??
It's under the cooker, I should have pointed it out.
Where's the fridge?
The blue matches my pickup truck.
I enjoyed watching the Video Review. I particularly like the Blue Paint Color and the Interior Is very Impressive 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
The cooker, fridge, sink tri-factor is ridiculous
Surely it has a fridge somewhere and a cupboard for a porta loo
There is a fridge under the cooker
Where was the fridge ?
There’s a Dometic fridge drawer under the oven, I think
i love you nick, it dont matter if motor or aquaholic you doing an AWESOME job!

Your Welcome 🙂❤️🤜🤛
And the fridge is where?
Beneath the cooker.
👍
I heard somewhere the T1 is thr only1 worth buying

£70k 🤯 we only paid £62k for our very highly optioned brand new autotrail apache 700 6 years ago.
Love my DUB..
No fridge or toilet - not for me thanks!

You are going to be limited where you park it and you can't really use it as a 2nd vehicle
third
£70000!? for that! What a complete rip-off.

YES!

£70k and no loo. For that reason, I'm out.
No toilet tho.
Such a dated layout, u-shaped seating is the way forward.
It's a 70k toy for a campsite. I feel sorry for anyone who is dumb enough to buy a new little vw campervan.
Get a tent and lots of hotel rooms instead 🤣
No one wants an electric car! Just make the vintage style gas engine ones and you will sell tons of them.
