I have the Technics version 5 dollars @ an auction & when given to me was not working Did a little work on it & it seems good now Autostop seems a little fussy sometimes
I havent really noticed much difference to be honest. But haven’t ran an actual side-by-side comparison neither. They both sound great to me. But I guess it’s safe to say there is/should be some difference in sound. Thanks for your comment
Well, major difference is a head. But that is not all. Bias frequency on Technics 80khz, but on Panasonic 210khz. So Panasonic is more advanced deck.

My Technics does the same sometimes, but its mostly relatted to the cassettes that I use. It’s a pretty good machine overall.
