- Journalist Douglas Murray has said he was impressed with Donald Trump's Mount Rushmore speech, branding it "a much needed history lesson" for the nation.
Speaking the talkRADIO's Dan Wootton, the Spectator's associate editor criticised the mainstream media's coverage of the event that took place on the eve of the US Independence Day.
Responding to Harry and Meghan's criticism of the Commonwealth, Murray said "I think there's a lot of very weird things going on in our time. It is slightly typified by having a prince and princess lecturing us on privilege".

No narrative or music, just the usual emojis of like, love etc. I didn't click any of them. I wondered why this should be and the reason for it. Was he trying to get a public reaction or what? So many presenters on there explain how they have to be careful what they say; not because of anything illegal or libellous, but in fear of saying something RUclips don't agree with. There is an official narrative you have to follow on covid-19, climate change etc. or you get demonetised or your channel deleted altogether. Many are switching to Brand New Tube where free speech is allowed.

(without favour or prejudice). As a Catholic in those times that made me a minority. My 10% did not matter. My heart was in the right place. I NEVER felt that my back was not covered by my colleagues. I NEVER sought to be a victim.
I medically retired in 2005 (27yrs service and direct consequence of the terrorism) with a multitude of medals and commendations.
I married in 1992; I became a widower 5yrs later with 2 kids, 1yr & 2 yrs: much like your upbringing. I'm pointing this out, again, because I believe it is important to state that I am not a victim of anything! I could have sought every type of financial reward for my predicament but that is not how I was brought up. I learned some great values throughout my life & not one of them necessarily requires religion. Character, Morals, Trust, Leadership, Honesty, Responsibility, Action, Advice, Confidential listening, and more. These values need to be taught to today's young people. Don't encourage young people to be victims! Instead try to encourage them to have a steel & determination to do better.
My 24yr son is travelling the world playing music under his own steam. My 23yr old daughter is a University Professor of languages in Spain. Single white dads can be good guys. [even swarthy ones :-)]

My job as a father bringing on the next generation is done.
My well adjusted children saved up to surprise me with a holiday in New Zealand (yes the Commonwealth) where I am enjoying lockdown at the moment. They have given me an unexpected leg-up towards a new chapter in my life.
Please instill some great values to your own children, and to those young people who follow you. Stop apologising for the past and instead give them some leg-up encouragement to do better. If a Gypsy can do it then so can a Royal.

I try to avoid my natural tendency to be cynical or sarcastic but sometimes it’s hard, especially as I generally can’t help referring to what I think of as historical information. I believe that current opinions are not as grounded in an historical awareness as the younger generation have not really been given a detailed curriculum in history at school where emphasis has been broadened/ narrowed, depending on how you look at it. It seems as if many people on line who have the most to say have the least experience but this may have always been the case!

Douglas at his finest! How refreshing to hear this point of view. I’m Scottish and very proud but I’m also British and fiercely proud of that. I honestly think todays’s society focus purely on likes and dislikes, sound bites on what they think should be changed on what has went before. Focus on on making things great and good for humanity. Yeah I know it takes effort but in the “old days” effort was required to do anything or get anywhere.
When I was at school in the 1970s and 1980s we were taught the about the great things our country and the western world have done, created, and invented: winning two world wars, the Industrial Revolution, the motor car, medicine, etc., and we felt a naturally huge debt of gratitude and thankfulness for our ancestors. Now they learn to despise all these achievements that have created the comfort and liberty from which they wail and flagalate.
I believe taking away the authority from teachers to discipline school kids, plus employing 1960s and 70s hippy university professors to brainwash students has borne out to produce the self-loathing Marxist environment we see today. If ever there was a time to reintroduce National Service to regain the senses of a lost generation, it has to be now.

Well, Harry's not really a prince. His mother wasn't born a royal and his father isn't Charles. Perhaps that's why the family let him go.

This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen of late. Seems to me DM keeps getting better with time. I like his optimism and forthrightness at a time when one can easily fall into negativity and despair. I would like to think as he does that we will get through this period of soft fascism and rampant delusional thinking in one piece.

Trump's use of the term 'cancelculture', which was meant to castigate those who were seeking justice, and his fear-mongering rhetoric regarding activists who strive for social reform was 'awesome'. He is such a great example of civility, decency, and compassion. Trump exemplifies so much of what is abhorrent in the human condition.
