s1-s2 it was unironically my favorite anime, i was so in love with this show i had to read the manga before s3 came out. My disappointment was paramount when i saw the animation, 7ds will always have a place in my heart though
@jjola It was mine too! I never thought it was "the best" but it was "my favorite" because it was endlessly rewatchable. S3 killed that for us both

Beginning of Seven Deadly was so awesome. Its a shame it got so messy towards the end
Studio change really hurt, but yeah so messy at the end. Thankfully 4 Knights has been good

Meliodas going through his trial to get his power back is one of, if not my favorite moment in all of 7DS. Still got me tearing up whenever I go back and watch it😭
That was an epic moment. Loved how he faked being evil right after too
An emotional scene was the episode in which King manages to use the true form of the spirit spear for the 1st time. And in season 1 his final fight with Hellbram and the flashback.
It was a sad backstory the ova about Ban and the flashback with his adoptive father.
Those were all great moments
Elizabeth showing up on the destroyed battlefield, looking for Meliodas right as the sun is coming up and music is playing is one of the most emotional scenes ever

i always loved this series no matter the fall off of s3. people tend to forget it was just as hype as other anime u see today. especially in season 2 it was blowing up everywhere.

You aren’t kidding when you said this was the peak. Went from a 10/10 show to like a 6/10 show immediately starting the next episode
@TuffJuff I liked a few episodes after but the show overall tanks until 4 Knights
The show started going down for me in the beginning of s2. Mainly because. I don’t really care about anyone else’s backstory and less about Diane. The amnesia plot was meh.
To me s1 was great because of the whole “get the band back together” plot was fun. The fight at liones was cool. And the plot twist with gilthunder was great.
But honestly after. King just became annoying,… and it played too much of the drama angle. I liked seeing Meliodas confront his past. I like the hints that Elizabeth is a perpetual thing. But I honestly just lost interest. It was cool again when Meliodas swapped sides and Chandler was involved. Then Arthur but again,… the war was so boring. Estarossa just became a boring 10 ep villain for the mael plot twist. And again. The 10 endings I could have done without.
And before anyone says anything. I could careless about the stupid Elizabeth thing. Why? Because it’s still less creepy than on screen reading child r****ape and murder.
Ps. Don’t read akame ga kill manga. The anime SEVERELY nerfed and toned down the gore and sexual crap that happens.
And yeah that also includes that “controversial scene” because as far as I’m concerned it wasn’t anything like the akame ga kill manga which showed a lot of graphic onscreen p****ed0philia and killings.
The Seven Deadly Sins was 1/10 at best from beginning to end
Dude this anime had so much potential the characters where great but ruined by animation and a kinda lame story at the end
Couldn't agree more. Seven Deadly Sins has one of the best anime casts ever. The animation being WOAT level and the story falling apart killed an amazing show. Thankfully 4 Knights has been better.

I could sit through the animation. But not the 10 ending attempts just to have the cursed by light be the “true ending” to the series.
I still Love SDS today even after the animation drop and questionable writing

from what i remember, i wasn’t actually too mad at meliodas coming back bc it had an impact on him and killed some of his humanity. haven’t seen season 3 though, for understandable reasons….
@@xrrgr There is a great moment after he comes back and breaks down to Elizabeth, but those became increasingly rare.
Yeah ban trying to kill malasculla is him attoining for his sin of trying to kill meliodas for allain ban regretted that more than anything and he thought he could make up for it by choosing the captain over allain i feel so bad for the guy he is my favourite character

I wouldn’t be surprised if he died only to set up the immortal storyline that would later serve the “punishment” the demon king had for him. He was loathed for having emotions and his punishment is having it all stripped away so he would be inevitably forced to gather all 10 commandments and reincarnate the demon king.
