remember to leave him in a secluded area to farm logs because he will break down trees with structures placed on them and also the AI don't seem to target him if you aren't around him

Throwing a spear into a cannibal only for it to run off and leave you with no spears does happen alot
More annoying when it's a deer that does than. One time the spear was through its neck -_-
kinda makes sense though in the first game throwing spears was so fricken OP best way to deal with big mutants if we don't count explosives + time or fire + time.
@@NitroStarman Deeds will eventually bleed out and fall over, so just take your time and follow it's path.
Take around 4 heavy hammer hits and 4-6 spears.
Arrows are more OP to anything on the surface.

@@evanrobert175 No you can leave with Virginia and the mother is still MIA, the father gets mutated and dies at the dinner hall IIRC. At least Virginia gets that fat 500bn dollar inheritance according to the will you find.

@@FurtherReadingTV explains why Kelvin has no combat abilities(even though dogs are more of the "militaristic"types), Kelvin helps you, he is literally ur companion like a dog, while Virginia scares them away(I think you have to constantly feed her to keep her trusted so just like a cat then)

Kelvin is the best husband/wife/brother/sister/mother/father/pet/friend that we could ever hope for.
I like how the cannibal is like "that's just how we do things around here dude" like casual Tuesday to him, and these new people just come up and start being rude to him by not letting him eat them.
Me and my friend first met Virginia when she was running up to me from behind in the darkness.
I ended up being the one to get her proper clothes and saved her from dying at one point but my friend just left the island with her leaving me stranded. Dang simp.

@catalin2766 Puffcorp is the business responsible for the mutants. They bought they island, did some crazy pharmaceutical bullshit, and they broke out. They also had a budding war with another corp.
While digging, Puffdaddies found a couple of hell artifacts, the cube being the main one.(and maybe only one in game that Ive seen anyway.) Cannibals and mutants will fight eachother, so my guess is the Cannibals were the islands original inhabitants. Virginia was a family member of the the man you're suppose to find on the island, and you were suppose to rescue her as well.
Its all a very strange story, and I still don't know why Kelvin still has bloody ears and such a malleable temperment after 50+days of ingame forest hell.

Second day playing me and my buds had made a nice little tree base and surrounded it with walls, then we made the mistake of asking Kelvin to change from fishing to harvesting wood. Right as we get back from exploring for new gear we notice Kelvin walk over and chop down the last tree holding up the base and everything crashes down...
Sledding off of the top of the mountain is the most fun thing in the entire game cause you go Mach 2 through the air
So the Son from the first game goes back to the forest!

the important thing is that there is a big difference between the two parts in the first part on the first island the forest there are cannibals but in the second part sons of the forest there are natives they don't necessarily intend to kill you or harm you right away
