I agree. At one point they kept stopping me & my wife so many times, and either handcuffing or just making us sit for an hour & 1/2, that we were made late for work. My wife had more flexible job but it ended up costing me mine. Never been arrested but detained 40 or 50 times! Always complied, never gave a reason to arrest. Had the wrong complexion.
We live in a world where a trained cop can panic and act on impulse but an untrained civilian must remain calm with a gun pointed in their face

Yep. People with concealed weapon licenses have known this for years. As an armed civillan you are expected to act like cool hand Luke and be perfect with your decision making and not miss a single shot or fire a single extra one than is needed if you do shoot. Anything less and you get charged with a crime for defending yourself. All this while scared out of your mind you're about to die. But cops who are supposed to be the highly trained ones and therefore the only ones who should even carry guns in the minds of many get to make a ton of mistakes, shoot the wrong person or fill a neighborhood full of holes from all the misses and they get a pass 9/10 times. It's a bizzaro world where the more trained and official you are, lower the standards for conduct you are held to.
Facts! They act like folks don’t have human emotions, and there is one right/wrong answer, despite never training or otherwise educating anyone on these things.
Everyone involved in the fake DUI arrest should be fired and charged.
Who is going to prosecute? The DA whose whole career depends on cops? Who's going to investigate the cops? The same people who constantly investigate themselves and find that they did nothing wrong.

My dad has served law enforcement there for more than 45 years. There isn't a big enough truck to hold enough money to get him to drive there. The latest city law is that law enforcement cannot approach a minor for any reason or crime. So the gangs now use kids to do all their dirty work. They can walk down the streets with a gun on their hip at 8 years old. cops can't even look at them sideways.

That said - could you comment on the totality of this particular incident. This happened in fact in a war zone. That is whats different from most any other place. Its an active war zone where the authorities have no logistical or political support at all. The guy in this vid I'll bet a dime to a dollar what he put in his house was his gun knowing as he said he was getting pulled over. If you live there you are armed or you are dead. The latest attempt to fix things was to decriminalize anything a minor in the city does. Police can witness and armed robbery and if its a 16 year old he could walk by them with a bag of money and the gun and the cop can't even look at them. Thats the nature of the government (last 3 mayors in prison) They allow extortion in the streets - the window washer kids dirty your windows demand money and can shoot you with impunity. They don't even bother washing the windows any more. They just stick a gun in your window at a stop light and rob you. For the record in this city whites are by far the minority. These cops - I speak to them every year cops,, FBI DEA Homeland security at an Irish festval the provide security for. They all tell the same story. Its more about survival than anything else. Everyone is considered and the vast majority are in fact armed and dangerous. Cops come in all colors and sexes. Like a person getting bombs dropped them in war or are being over run by the enemy - exactly what rules would you follow. I'm not saying it not true that this guy and girl got done bad. But under the totality of the circumstances assuming I'm not lying. Would you act much different. Theres no hope for peace only survival in the city. Its dog eat dog.

Qualified immunity emboldens sociopaths who become law enforcement officers. Terrorism unchecked against whoever is least likely to make an intolerably major deal out of something. Not being held accountable certainly increases the class of victim.

This kind of story makes me feel so lucky to be white. I was profiled in LA just because of the type of car I was driving (98' Crown Vic with 20's and tinted windows starting at the back seat). I was going to work and not breaking ANY laws. The cop pulled me over, handcuffed me and put me in the back of his car while he searched my vehicle. The reason he gave me after the stop was that my windshield was cracked. The crack wasn't even visible from the outside unless you got on my hood. He let me go but tried to ask me a bunch of questions which I wasn't about to answer after he already did me like that. I know for a fact that this stop would have been worse if I wasn't white. I guess my car was too "gangster" for that POS.
A suggestion… if you feel that you have been wrongfully detained and arrested , tell the arresting officer that you are experiencing pains in your chest, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing and are experiencing dizziness and request to be transported by an ambulance to the closest emergency room. The agency should, in most states bear the cost of the hospital and any physicians that examine you plus any lab tests. Don’t forget your cell phone so you can call someone to get your vehicle out of impound or even better have someone get your vehicle off the side of the road before it is towed.
Can we talk about the recruitment process for applicants becoming cops? Who is responsible and what does the legislative say? Need to solve the problem from the root.

I am a full blooded native american last year the cops pulled me over nine times each time asking if i had been drinking alcohol..

And i had been followed around at night by them cops.with their high beems on...
About 28 years ago I was a restaurant manager. I closed most nights and headed home around midnight. I noticed a cop every night would put on his lights and go through a red light. It was the same cop in the same car. After observing this 8 times I called the police to report him. After that, I was followed every night by this cop. I was pulled over 3 times, once for running a red light, once for speeding and once for having a brake light out. None of which were true. On the red light violation I was lucky to have one of my employees going home at the same time and she was my witness that I didn’t run a red light. Eventually there were more complaints about this officer and he was fired. One of the best days in my life was walking into a McDonald’s and seeing him as an assistant manager. He recognized me and wasn’t happy when I told my friend who he was and we laughed at him.
I hope you and your friend didn’t eat or drink anything there that he could have put his hands on!😊

@@melissahaire7058 why won't that happen? Police departments get sued all the time. It's a $150 filing fee, and you can represent yourself. The N-21 form is super easy to fill out. You don't need a lawyer. I would definitely file a law Suite, and chances are by this video the department will settle, which will not be good for the department and the officers involved. Enough of these suites and the officer will be fired and management will change. It happens a lot, just not shown by the media. If they don't settle, then at any point during the case you have the ability to hire a lawyer, and a lot will take cases like this.

This is so sad. A DUI charge is a very serious charge, it could be loss of driving privileges, an extreme fine of thousands of dollars, losing your job and livelihood, etc. I think that the Feds should look into this as a violation of Civil Rights.

Thank you. I’m a TBI/SCI survivor of police brutality and attempted murder 23 years ago. I was stalked by the cops just like Daniel and I was so intimidated by the gang style head games and showing up at my house and threatening me for 2 years before the trial started.
I’m not a criminal in any way and I couldn’t believe how much they terrorized me but all these years later, I am still treated poorly and misjudged by police officers who refuse to press charges against others for assault and battery, elder abuse and disability abuse because I have to use a motorized wheelchair and public transportation and the traffickers use the MTS and they don’t want me to witness or observe their activities but the cops know that they are doing this and they don’t care.
I’m pretty messed up over it because I don’t feel safe and I have noticed that it’s worse than ever. They don’t serve and protect anyone but themselves and they pretend that they are the victims.
When they reached into the car and turned off the recording device, that in itself is and was SPOLIATION OF EVIDENCE under the law as well as a search.
Those officers need to be fired, prosecuted, and never hold a position in Law enforcement ever again.

There should be a nationwide tracking system inwhich police history of conduct and terminations with explanations are recorded so that possible hiring departments can check their references before hire. That way their really held accountable and are never capable of working in law enforcement again in any jurisdiction or state!

You go to a car show and you might see one Duster,, I doubt very much someone was doing something naughty in a Classic car at 4 am. But you know, following the speed limit, and getting Del taco,,, and looking Mexican. Well yeah that matches the description every time.

As a retired LEO in California (not LAPD or LASO), I can say that those two agencies have had decades of shady shit going on. You can reseach all the crap they have been involved in. Police should have to carry private liability insurance the same way a doctor has to in order to work. Insurance companies will hold them accountable.
They are handed billions of tax payer dollars annually, just to cover up or pay for their illegal crimes; so they continue to committ crimes and break the law.

I have been saying for years that cops should be required to carry a form of malpractice insurance, that they pay out of their pocket. Every time the insurance pays out, their premium goes up. Eventually they'll be uninsurable and unable to work.
Some of the state's do make them get liability insurance but it's not a mandatory thing

If that’s true that the sergeant said “we know you’re not under the influence, but you pissed somebody off” he needs to call an attorney IMMEDIATELY and have the body cam recording pulled!! The cops involved need to be fired and hopefully charged! If we were to cause the arrest of a person by reporting a crime that was not true in retaliation for them “pissing us off” we would be charged with a felony!!!! They need to be held accountable!!
The problem is, it's his word against theirs. Unless you have a video, or some kind of concrete proof, it doesn't matter what's said. So even though the officers admit to wrong doing, there's no proof of it. So it's a little like it never happened. Nothing says the body cam is turned on. It's not running all the time, only when they turn it on. If they're just looking to cause you grief, they probably won't bother turning it on, since they have no intentions of actually arresting you. Just harassing you, and threatening you with an arrest. It's a classic case of bullies with badges. It's disgusting, and we need a better way to ensure it never happens.

The excuses made for police is absolutely insane to me. Any normal person with a regular job if they make a huge mistake intentional or accidently they are usually fired but cops never get fired or in trouble it seems. Cops literally have to be videotaped breaking the law to lose their job then they still most of time aren't arrested and can get a referral from a cop buddy to work in another county. The difference in the demeanor of the cop before and after they learn my dads a cop is astonishing. I almost probably wouldn’t believe it if it wasn’t happening to me. I don’t get in trouble anymore. I put all that bs behind me. But just last week my gas gauge in my car started messing up. I ended up running out of gas on hwy. cops pretty much immediately pull up. The cop refused to give me a ride and I couldn’t walk to the gas station because i had my dog and I didn’t have the proper harness to walk her on the highway. So he asked me if I can pay a tow truck to bring me gas and I said yes. But it was Friday evening and after waiting for over an hour in my hot car, because the police made me roll my windows almost completely up because my dog was growling at him, I get out and ask him if he can just call my dad, because my phone was dead, and just see if my dad could bring me gas instead of waiting for this tow truck. So he called my dad and my dad couldn’t bring me gas because he was at work over an hour away, but this cop found out while on the phone with my dad that he’s a cop, and as soon as they hung up he changed his mind and said he could give me a ride to the gas station. He didn’t even like try to disguise it that maybe he was just getting sick of waiting for the tow truck. It was very obvious that he only changed his mind after learning my dad was a cop that is so weird to me. Pathetic is a better word.

its used by police for court so that when others testify, they'll all have the same story. there was a court case not too long ago on youtube, that demonstrated some of these tricks. the defense lawyer schooled the officers based on video evidence. it was SO BAD that the officer was shouting "stop resisting" prior to even putting hands on the person who was literally leaning against their vehicle in a casual, unassuming pose.

I have PTSD from being arrested and interrogated for 16 hours from 4 pm till 8 the next morning for something I no nothing about and turns out didn't even happen. The whole time they were claiming they know all the details my life is over but I could make it easy on myself by telling them. I was then released warned not to go anywhere and they never came back no letter no nothing. For a long time I expected re-arrest making all future encounters frightening.
