I have watched nearly all your tutorials and I want to thank you as I have learned a lot. My house is a single storey but half of it seats on lower level which the lower level is supported by 7 footings (and columns) and a load bearing wall. The clear height of the columns to the beam above is 1.75 m. My question is whether part of the footings can be exposed (not under ground but above the ground level).

design a rc footing for column size 400×400 mm which carries a maximum load of 800kn, sbc of soil 200kn/m^2 .if one side of footing is to be restricted to 1.50mt. use m20 grade os concrete and fe415 steel
