Seii ▸ Route 111 【 Pokémon R/S/E Remix 】

So, I've been in a Pokémon mood, lately. Been coding a Discord Bot heavily focused on Pokémon, which prompted me to replay most of the games. With that, I was reminded of some awesome tracks the Pokémon Universe has to offer! This is one of them; honestly, I'm very proud of this remix's quality. I think I'm getting the hang of this!
▾ About this Remix ▾
This track plays in the desert section of Route 111, a very well-known location of the Gen 3 games! It has got a bit of a Latino feeling, mixed with the obvious (and major) Egyptian/Arabian vibe. With this remix, I tried to mix in a third genre: Jazz! Took me a while to figure out a general direction to follow, during the composition process. I also spent a lot of time with the mixing of this one!
I used some techniques and intruments I don't usually include in my compositions. This track mixes my usual electronic approach with a more acoustic, classic atmosphere. I absolutely ADORE the rhythm and beat that I ended up withn and I'm especially proud of the drumline. It's REALLY catchy, in my opinion! I'd like to remix more Pokémon themes in the future... I forgot how good these are.
