She's not ruined for normal people. You would have liked that she accepts everything Oliver wants or say without contradicting him because he's the Green Arrow. She didn't and she was right. That's why you hate her.
I never said she was ruined. I said I miss terribly awkward Felicity. While I didn't care for her character in seasons 3-4, I think she improved a lot in season 5 and I've love her this season.

I am always trying to figure out why a lot of the youtubers hate her. She is no where near as annoying as iris west this season of the flash.
They are fanboys threatened in their virility or comic fans (not all the comic fans hate her) and the fans of Katie Cassidy... They wanted Oliver to be Laurel. And they also hate Felicity because Laurel was killed in S4.

Gotta admit, as much as I love Felicity she was more enjoyable to watch back when she was just a quirky girl next door. I even like her and Oliver together but that psychopatic "you lied to me once to see your son so we can't ever have a relationship" phase she went trought in season 4 really damaged her character.
And hasn't recovered since...
Psychopathic, huh!? Nobody hides his child from the person he wants to spend the rest of his life with. Because your child is the more important part of your life as a couple. I don't care about what Samantha told him, because she had no say in their relationship. And, more important, Felicity can keep a secret.

In the second time line, he kept the secret despite knowing that Malcolm knew. Malcolm threatened him about his son after their fight on the rooftop; but he still didn't tell Felicity. He told the city that he was going to marry Felicity during the engagement party knowing that there was this huge secret between them. Sorry, but there will never be a good reason to hide your child from your future spouse. Only the people who don't know anything about marriage (or relationships between adults) can find it normal. Listening to his sister who went away because of the lies about Malcolm was the worst. It was the dumbest thing to do.

Was kinda expecting the wedding scene to be in here, given how she popped the question to him out of the blue two years after breaking off their engagement. Thought the timing was awkward in a really cute kinda way. Have admired how she also dove head first into being a stepmom, had a few priceless moments with William. All hail Queen Fefe!
