This arrangement includes parts for 2 Trumpets, Horn, Trombone, and Tuba.

Quite a blow for the first trumpet. Fantastic arrangement.

As a trombone player, I personally would have put the euphonium solo in the horn part. The horn would have a closer tone. Everything else sounded good! Although the trombone and tuba fwaumph in place of the bass drum gave me a chuckle!

In intermezzo, at the beginning, were you not confident in giving the brass those woodwind runs?

My only complaint is the first trumpet part shouldn't have divisions. Why not have the horn do the second part and second trumpet do the lower divides instead there?

Because it is an optional divisi. The lower part is optional. The harmony in the second part is more important. I chose not to put it in the horn part because I wanted to give as many parts rests wherever possible.
