  • Problem Description
    There is a framed structure, fixed support at the bottom, The material of the structure is structural steel. The uniform distributed load applied to the structure, find the deformation of the structure.
    It is a one-dimensional structural analysis, From this tutorial, an ANSYS Beginner would get to know how to setup & analyze a framed structural body using Finite element analysis of ANSYS Static structural. An option like line body, how to assign cross-section to a-line body.

    Hey, it would've been a lot better if you could speak and explain why we are doing what we're doing. I had to watch other videos to understand the cross section part

    Can you also perform nonlinear simulation on this by large deflection on with time steps.

      You can set in any direction, only you need to do the alignment so that the default alignment of "1" will be changed to the alignment as per the geometry.

    When placing the force 1, will the 5000 N be destributed over the 6 edges or will it be 5000 N on each edge?

      It will be distributed among all 6 edges.

    Please help me to solve the error, I am connecting vertices of two blocks . but it is showing (connect failed) red mark. And the geometry is not connecting. why is this happening ? how to solve this?

      @@AnsysTutor OK I got this, there was a tolerance value I needed to change according to my geometry. thank you sir.
      other than this can you make one tutorial on how to make cnt material based structure. because the cnt structure is totally different than regular steel structure. so how to do that on ansys?

      This can be done using another module of ansys , that is Modal analysis.
