    Great effort....just one question, since the model shown above is made of beam element is it possible to do the code check or unity check analysis for vertical and slant beams

      Yes, u will get direct stresses from 1d, can be used if u r doing DNV

    Did you make further processing with this line body model like wind load and remote load in line body...

      Welcome ! Not with this model, But you can apply other environmental load (wind & snow loads, etc. )on beam model too.

      @@graspengineering9249 one thing is more, can make load combination like in staad pro 1.2 dead load+wind load+seismic load+live load..

    Could you please make a video showing how to analyse a steel or concrete structure under fire, using beam element (not solid element), please?

    How do you define the joints? In the model that is clearly shown that the profiles are overlapping each other on the joints.

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  5 лет назад

      If you keep all the geometries(bodies) in single part in design modeler, it will connect all bodies with each other & hence their is no need to define joints. Where do you see overlapping ?

    Can you please Explain about Physical meaning of Remote force and displacement in ANSYS workbench. Thanks in Advance

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  5 лет назад +1

      Hello Manish, Remote force provide a means to apply condition (forces & moments) whose center of action is away form the system. eg. if you have Nozzle on which piping is mounted & you only model nozzle in FEA & wants to incorporate the effect of piping forces in nozzle, then you can defined remote point at an arbitrary location (or CG of the piping) and then scoped to nozzle geometry through rigid links. Displacement is nothing but deformation. it can be in X, Y & Z directions.

    Hello Sir,I have done 1D modeling of my top side platform. During run, I have encountered solver pivot error at UX/UY.. "A solver pivot warning or error has been detected in the UY degree of freedom of node 111607 located in Surface Body. This is usually a result of an ill conditioned matrix possibly due to unreasonable material properties, an under constrained model, or contact related issues. Check results carefully".Kindly let me know how to retrieve this error.Kindly note that I have modeling using 1D. I tried with manual contacts, but I don't know how contact and target tools selected for 1D element..

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  4 года назад

      Hi ! This error is mainly due to contacts are not in closed condition or missing contacts or no connection at some joints. Kindly check all the joints have proper connection established. While defining 1D contact check contact status with contact tool whether it is closed or open. If not closed, then define sufficient pinball radius for contact.

    how to check connection of geometry in design modeler????

    • @graspengineering9249
      @graspengineering9249  2 года назад

      You can check with edges by connection option. It does not helps unless all bodies in single parts. It is better to check connection in mechanical or spaceclaim.
