I only intended to record a few shootouts in Mafia 3 to show off the game/combat in 4K, yet I enjoyed it so much I ended up completing the game again lol...so I might as well upload the ending again considering I uploaded the other main missions. 😅 Really enjoyed revisiting this and the combat is still very satisfying!

Gameplay is just to good, I experienced the same thing when I gave the game the third chance. First two times I got bored really quick but the third time, shooting and driving, the music, the cutscenes felt really good.
What i really love about Sal is he admit his defeat and accept his fate. I wish lots of villains accept their defeats instead of fighting back and begging for mercy.
Dude no offense but by that logic then if a hero is in a situaction like that where they cant win at all then they should accept defeat indtead of fight back
Villians think they can beg for mercy and get out of their own fate, but in reality, it only justifies the reason for vengeance even more, sal marcano knew his what was coming to him and accepted his fate.
What I love about this scene is sal admitting to Lincoln that he's guilty and isn't sorry for elis or Sammy, instead he comes to realization that the world is changing and he lost everything and everyone he knew, his entire family was wiped out by Lincoln
Sal’s monologue in the ending of this game was so awesome and the fact that his nightmare and reality was coming together is what makes him one of the realest villains in the series
Speeding across town to the casino while "Hold On" plays over the radio is one of my favorite moments in this game. Seriously though, you'd think with what's at stake and the fact there is only one bridge to get to the casino, Marcano's guys would be more alert and better prepared for Lincoln, but then they aren't paid to think.
Sometimes i think about this scene, like how the Comission, being so powerful, is scared of Lincoln and what he can do. Let's admit it, he's not ordinary man. He's more than just a Vietnam veteran or some vigilante. He's like...the Boogeyman to them.
This final mission has it all, the start of an intense firefight. That in the middle looks like the final scene of the anti-gangster force movie, part of the bank scene from the movie Heat, a stronger and more lethal protagonist than John Wick. But the final mission has something that I like and that is that even Giorgi did not admit anything that Lincoln said, but he was sincere with him. That he did everything for his dad the same as Lincoln did for Sammy and that Sal didn't apologize, rather, he admitted all the crap he did and I liked that too much. It wasn't a shootout between Lincoln and Sal but a moment where they both sat down to drink and They talked about their deepest fear. I don't know what the best ending for Sal is! but seriously, I was pleased when I saw it for the first time and I will say it again thanks to the story MAFIA III is a tremendous game
Fun fact, during that drive to the casino all three stations have these modern rock versions of songs in the game but they only play during this small section so they're easily missed.

When i saw Joe's smiling face at Lincoln, i knew what it means when first time meeting with Leo Galante, Lincoln is also friend of Vito Scalleto that means also friends of his, Friends in high or low places, i guess.
Wow. The music that's not present in this clip (due to copyrights) that plays when Lincoln leaves the motel and drives up to the casino makes all the difference in this game. It was so satisfying to hear to Hold On followed by contemporary covers of old songs in the game. I wish it continued on when you shot up the casino, also wish there was more action on the last level, but it tied things together nicely.
I beat the game yesterday and got the Vito ending (good ending as you don't become the next kingpin beginning a new bloody dynasty) keeping all the underbosses alive with a 2-3-4 district divide. Cassandra got three, Burke got 2, Vito got 4 (even though I screwed Cass and Vito over by turning their rackets over to each other twice). My guess is they rule the city together without you, though the way they whine so much about being in power it may have been a short-lived allied leadership knowing the business. No loss though, they're all criminals anyhow.
only mistake i made the first time i played this was that i FINALLY unlocked the M60 right before this, and decided to use it for this mission... and honestly the M16 was better on my next playthrough, tighter aim and the M60 physically slows you down when it's out. running slower is a huge danger on the higher difficulties where the enemies turn into aimbots with high-damage weapons...
I had fun playing it after work for short bursts until I beat it over the course of months, but I can see how people got bored of it if they were playing for hours. Some of the game got repetitive and the long-distance driving was time-consuming at times when doing those back and forth loyalty missions. It was also buggy, such as not being able to walk onto dry land out of the water among other things. It was a beautifully set-up world, but there was not much to do in it, so from what I gather - people's sentiments are that it just felt empty. I guess people were looking for this to be GTA where you can do non-killing related stuff like hangout with people for character development or play poker and so forth. Again, I had fun regardless. Good story too.

This game wasn't as bad as social media depicted it to be. All it needed was a little more work on the aiming mechanics and gameplay as well as the decision-making needed alitte more improvement for the final half instead of the random endings we got from this game at times, and then it would have been a lot more than what we were given honestly.
