I like how they use Mikey. Usually he’s kind of the straight man but every once in a while they’ll put him in a zany sketch like this and it always pays off

0:30 they go to all the effort of hooking the guitar up so it can spin and he only spins it once! Come on!
Waste of an awesome effect, yeah. It would've been cool if at some point he just let it rotate like 3 or 4 times; it seemed pretty smooth. I don't think he had a lot of confidence in the rig or his ability to recover cleanly though. You can see how he's very defensive and cautious during the single spin.
As a result we get quality work on a neat set piece that is tragically underutilized.

@@andrewharvey3282 Eh, they are kinda crowded on the stage, so I imagine that he was afraid to do it too much cause if he spun it too hard or too soft he would have to jerk around to correct the orientation, which could have distracted or bumped into the other actors. Also, not only was he not on camera much, there were a lot of cuts. He may have done more attempts that just didn't make it into the final product.

Twist ending: those aren’t animatronics. They’re real people who escaped from an insane assylum and were hiding out there before the bank robber showed up. That’s why they “operate” so smoothly despite allegedly being abandoned and Peppy Ronny’s hands don’t match his face. After the other cop took the robber away, Ronny produced a shiv from his hairpiece and stabbed Kenan in the stomach. XD

He read a word ahead and was about to say ''anchovies'' until he realized that the word ''ordered'' needed to be spoken first. Happens a lot with actors reading off of cue cards- sometimes they read too fast
Yeah, in this case, the object provides almost all the information so when you're reading silently, you kind of elide the verb. In this case the bizarre dipthong to started "ordered" clues you in immediately to what happened.
In this case I'm still trying to figure out why made that *exact* mispronunciation on "anchovies". Maybe it was some overcompensatory reflex to emphasize the penultimate syllable in conformity with the verb? Following up a trochee with a dactyl is always awkward, so it's understandable. Adding the article "the" to the line would've made it easier on the performer.
Or maybe it was no real contextual explanation for that particular pronunciation. We was just off already and couldn't recover quickly enough to have full mental command over what he was reading.
I literally hyperfixated on this specific skit for like a solid week and redesigned all the characters and gave them backstories and everything-

I went to Circus Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese as a kid, and this is spot-on. The animatronic band was called "The Rock-afire Explosion," and, honestly, it's a great name for a band.
