This was laugh out loud hilarious at how they ribbed our American southern cheese spreads. It was extra special because your chef served the pimento cheese spread in a vintage tupperware container!
Celsius ARE Centigrade are the same thing essentially the difference explained below was simply an inversion of the scale. Centigrade is the old-fashioned name for Celsius. The name Centigrade was derived from Latin originally meaning a hundred degrees. When Anders Celsius created his original scale in 1742 he inexplicably chose 0° for the boiling point and 100° for the freezing point. A little over one year later Frenchman Jean Pierre Cristin proposed an inverted version of the scale (freezing point 0°, boiling point 100°). He named it Centigrade. Then, in 1948, by international agreement, Cristin’s adapted scale became known as Celsius to honor the Swedish Scientist, who first invented this temperature scale. Fahrenheit used mostly in the US was invented by German scientist Gabriel Fahrenheit in 1724. And to answer Billy's question in Fahrenheit water freezes at 32°F and Boils at 212°F as opposed to 0°C and 100°C respectively on the Celsius scale.
Dom looking at the food stuck to the side of Billy's mouth and not being able to find a napkin to wipe it off is totally reminiscent of Merry and Pippin's relationship. You guys are so freaking cute!
So boys, hopefully, this comment clears your doubts with respect to Celsius and Fahrenheit. First of all, centigrade is just the older name for celsius. Both of those are the same thing. Water freezes and boils at 0 degrees and 100 degrees Celsius respectively. Apart from the US, the rest of the world uses Celsius. 0 degrees Celsius is equal to 32 Fahrenheit. The formula for the relationship between Celcius and Fahrenheit is C/5 = (F-32)/9, where C is Celsius and F is Fahrenheit. For example, 40 degrees celsius = {(40/5)*9}+32 = 104 Fahrenheit. In the UK, the average temperature is in the lower 20s, or less(Celsius). That's why it's unbearable at 40 degrees. It all depends on what the normal average temperature is, at a place. For example, in a place like India, 40 degrees is manageable as it is close to average in a lot of places. It's still hot, but it's not unbearable. But if the temperature reduces to 2-3 degrees celsius, it will become unbearable as the bodies of people there are not naturally conditioned to withstand that kind of temperature. In the same way, in the UK, which is way north, 40 degrees celsius is too much of a deviation from normal for people's bodies to deal with. That's why it's roasting over there now. If you still have more doubts, I would be happy to come on the show and talk about it😅😄. Anyway, Love you guys. Keep going. Lots of love from India. ❤
The Dragon! Not only is it completely random that LGR is being interviewed on this podcast (the crossover I didn’t know I needed), they also proceed to start talking about the computer manufactured on an industrial estate only 3 or 4 minutes from my mum and dad’s house.
LGR! Awesome! Finnish sauna is sometimes 100-120°C so you don't immediately die in that temperature :D Celsius and Centigrade is the same thing with different names.
The Dragon Computer is alive and well with people still making games and hardware for it (along with its North American counterpart, the Tandy Colour Computer). There are even online emulators to run all the old programs available on your modern system, for that nostalgic hit without having to track down the old system! There is even a weekly talk show about the Dragon/Colour Computer called CoCoTALK! every Saturday on RUclips/Twitch.
Sometimes I feel like they were just a dream and didn't exist since so few other people have played them. It's sad because it had tech before it's time. Weren't afraid to try fixed locations. The animations were so good that the game still looks very nice today. The game had an excellent counter-unit system. Great leveling system making it important not to waste units. Heroes well balanced early on and only a problem once they became too high level and got all their skills. For me it's above the C&C series. Not better than WC or AOE but the best that EA made in that genre.
Daniel Fahrenheit was born in Gdansk (Poland), then it was the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. It is the same city where World War II began. In 2016, DJ Elijah Wood visited us for his show! IT was amazing!
As a Canadian, I loved hearing you both try to learn and guess how Canada is split up. The territories are in the north (Yukon, NorthWest Territories, and Nunavut).
YASS!! I have been watching you guys on your new set, and I JUST NOTICED the custom Funko Pops I made for you on the shelf behind you! 🥰 You have no idea how that makes me feel. Thank you. I am glad they made it and are liked. Love the podcast, you both are such a delight and what this world needs. Refreshing, fun and entertaining to watch! Keep up your awesome!!
Celcius is the same as centigrade, water freezes at 0 and boils at 100, that's why it's also called centigrade, which come centi (100) and grade (degrees), or scale of the hundred degrees ( it goes higher and and lower, but the reference is water) Farenheit is another thing entirely, but it's also s quite good book.
I would say he would win a place in a Duke Nukem guy voice competition if there was one. Sadly the original Duke Nukem guy did not know about his channel, did not have much opinion, but if I remember it correctly, said it was quite good.
Never saw this collab happening either, it's great. been watching LGR for years and used to think he did the Duke Nukem Forever voice for duke for the game. Not that anyone cares but I was born 75, started with a Dragon 32, then ZX spectrum, then Atari stFM, Atari falcon, PC to now The LOTR the battle for middle earth strategy games on PC were fantastic and really transported you into the movies worlds EDIT: typed the above before i heard the whole video, and Billy mentioning he had a Dragon 32. If he wants he can have mine! Im based near London, UK / Chatham in Kent. I think Billy was thinking about Jetpac not lunar lander (unless they are the same thing)
In Texas and Arkansas we make Pimento Cheese with Mayonnaise. I grew up with it just cold on bread as a sandwich but now I sometimes put it on an open faced sandwich and stuck it under the broiler to melt.
Brings back fond memories of my Commodore 64. Mom would hand-type programs onto cassettes so we could play some games. We also got a lot of generic knock-offs like Snack-man.
My logic with Fahrenheit and Celsius is that Fahrenheit is a percentage of our feeling of hot and Celsius is a water scale. Forty degrees Fahrenheit is 40% of how we feel hot. With that in mind, 4.5°C, is 4.5% of boiling temperature. Obviously it’s different for everyone, but that’s my scale.
When I hear non Canadian's discuss their knowledge of Canada, I usually have the "am I a joke to you?" meme pop into my head. I'm biased, but I'd like to think Canada is kind of neat.
This one summed up my early days of computing with friends with Spectrum's and a Dragon 64! And Billy's misspent youth playing Dargons Lair matched mine, except I'm sure it was the most expensive machine in the arcade and was 50p a go! Awesome podcast guys! although you can keep the tobacco enemas to yourselves! 😝

Celsius and centigrade are the same thing :-). 40C would be 104F, also known as way too fucking hot. I was down in Leeds during the heatwave and it was 39C then, fucking bonkers for the north of England!

Hi Billy and Dom, I’m wondering if you possibly know what happened to the ceramic pipes please, Did you actually receive them? I was asked to make them for you both. They took 6 weeks to make and were then given to Dom at Comicon in Telford a few months back. Its sad to think they have been lost, broken or didn’t even make it out of Comicon? It would be great to find out what happened to them please. Many thanks, Kind regards T Squibb .
Hey guys Dr Karl from Australia is a wealth of knowledge with everything and a great personality. You should get him on to answer those science questions!
to me guys the BEST LOTR game is the online one, LOTRO. Its everything from the books and WAY more to fleshen out the world more for example Angmar is up in arms, dwarves are trying to reclaim moria 2 weeks after the fellowship passed there, you launch an assault on Dol Guldur in mirkwood to keep Sauron's attention, all stuff added but nothing gets taken out or changed from the books and the storyline is YOUR story during the war of the ring. You start as just a guy/gal who wants to help and of course you end up with quite a bit of fame of your own by the end and the members of the fellowship know you as an old pal who helps push back the shadow. to give a sense of how big it is, the moment Frodo (or gollum really) drops the ring in mount doom is content level 105....endgame is now level 140 and theyre still actively developping. And guess what? its ALL about the journey. come join us in middle-earth guys! Edit: oh forgot to mention the free content goes from level 1 to 95 which is the battle at helm's deep (about 250 hours to get there) and by then you'll propably have enough store currency earned just by playing to unlock something else anyway.
just wanted to say I think the shorts being uploaded here is so confusing, I'm missing your actual podcasts because they are getting lost in my subscription box from all the shorts
Oh god, seriously, of all the things to bring back from Chicago, Malort? Ugh. That said, my partner and one of our friends adore it. They claim it tastes like liquorish. So, knowing how much Dom and Billy like liquorish, maybe. . . .maybe they won't hate it. . . . I wouldn't bet money though.

easiest way to annoy a LotR fan is starting at the point when you see Gandalf get rescued from Orthanc, just endlessly ask "so why don't they just fly the Eagles to Mt. Doom?"
I don't know why I find it so exciting listening to Billy and Dom talking about League of legends 😂 I mean as a player AND a LOTR fan it's like everytime they mention it, it's christmas in my head and I imagine them and the fellowship just playing game after games of LoL haha (You really should start a Twitch channel haha)

I am a big podcast watcher/listener. The ones I watch are fairly casual though, as I have been following whomever for years. I’ve commented this before, but it’s extremely refreshing to see such professional entertainment, presence, and commitment from the both of you. Thank you for the time, energy and effort you put in!
I had no idea LGR was on this. SO COOL! What a great and unexpected collab. Clint I know you won't see this, but pimento cheese is a big deal here in Oklahoma too. Just part of growing up in the south!
You could say "Whens the Lord coming on with the rings?" When I was younger (early 80s) my brother had this computer type game that only played; squashed, tennis, football. It was really basic (white lines and Beebs). I cannot remember what ot was called.
@@victoriaparker2705 I said that before I watched that part. Bill and I are more or less the same age group. We finally talked my mom into an Atari console (which was the second out of 2 possibilities at the time). I never had a handheld, but seem to remember GameBoy, Atari and maybe Sega being the names.
Thanks again for having me on, guys!
Shame about the pimento cheese incident but I applaud the effort 😄
You were an awesome guest to listen to! The pimento cheese fiasco has me cry-laughing 😂
You were great Clint, and the pimento cheese was hilarious

LGR + Billy & Dom = LEGENDARY COLLAB!!! 😎🥳 10/10

LGR is the man! Very cool episode
Thanks, Dominic! Thanks, Billy! Thanks, Clint! 🧅
Dude LGR and Friendship Onion? Amazing!!!
Sure didn't see this coming but couldn't be more excited, Clint is incredible.
