Just based on the images from the video, it looks like that sofa is a little over-inflated. You have to allow some give to the material. That may be the cause of the blow-outs. Don't over-inflate!
we use a bunch of Intex air beds and I've used their couches (single and 2 person) for a while. If the inseams blow, it's because you over filled it, and then when you add a person's weight on it, well ... same as sitting on a balloon. Also heat makes the glue come undone. So if you need to have multiple people on it, let out some air so it has some "give". We never have issues apart from the occational refill during colder months. Only in high summer
I have owned 2 of these couches over the last 5 years and love them both! Will buy another one when my last one gets worn out again . I also only payed 68-70 for the same exact couch from ebay.
i just looked at your first review, was planning on purchasing one temporary until i get to get my real furniture, then i saw this one, hmm, well, it held out for 60 days, i would only need maybe half that time, great review.
I remember back in the late 60s early 70s when they came out with global furniture and then it was because they were just two new but constantly blowing out. I have seen a few that have like a felt spray on cover something like the air mattresses and I have seen them last little while but still light usage. I still don't think they perfected the blowup furniture. Good luck and you should be able to repair it and hopefully get a few more months out of it thank you for the warning
`Great review. I was thinking of getting one of these too. In the UK, purchases must be fit for their intended purpose and have an expected lifespan. With the seam puncturing like that, the product obviously wasn't of merchantable quality and the company should replace or repair it. It is thanks to videos like this, that we can all expose rougue companies that refuse to do so. Their refusal suggests that they are receiving numerous complaints, are well aware of the inferiority of the product. Your video has probably saved many people from wasting their money. Well done.
I have bought many off these intex products and mines have lasted a year and a half. But only after I realized you can't over inflate it. If you don't do that you should be good for awhile.
Sorry to hear this. I haven't had good luck with Intex either. Got 2 self inflating mattresses and both of the batteries stopped taking a charge. They never returned my calls. Steer clear of Intex.
Super glue melts the plastic but good to vulcanize the seam and when you can seal from in side and out for great strong hold what's what I do and never pops in same place
Damn just watched your first video and got super excited to add one of these to my gypsy caravan but maybe not now... I wish Avon or Zodiac the boat makers would design furniture I would not worry about that popping! Those boats are extremely durable but also very expensive. I’d pay for an Avon couch though for sure! It would blow up very firm too. They hold a ton of pressure for a very long time.
Never use superglue on inflatable stuff. Instead use your basic bicycle tire fix kit (patch and glue) and on intex inflatables (sofas and matresses) I would recommend buying a gallon of Plasti Dip or rubber underseal for cars to coat several layers, just use softer rubber for the first few layers. The pelt surface is also a nuisance as the slightes humidity combined with friction destroys them in no time, therefore coating would solve that too.
dont inflate it as much and also buy a new one from amazon and return that one as faulty. also these are not meant to replace home furnature these are for camping events.
I got the normal sofa and about 3 months later the main bit you sit on completely blew up, every inseam went kaboom lol. Doesn't really hold air now which sucks, kind of a waste of money sadly.
I really wish i watch this video before i bought this exact product. I have had the exact same issues with mine and it puncture in exactly the same place on the end of those seams on the base unit, and the same large pillow had the same inseam blowout as this. This product should be discontinued as i also did not get a warranty with the product. Intex know its not fit for purpose otherwise they would have offered a significant warranty. Shame on you intex.
Folding it so it fits back in the box will definitely be a chore. I would say probably impossible. You're better off getting a bigger box and sending it back that way. Hope it helps, thanks for watching!
It looks like you blew it up quite a lot for the kind of use that it seems be getting... the firmer you inflate it, the more likely you are to blow the seam. If you don’t need to make it very firm let some air out and remember it is a cheap product you can’t expect too much from it. Any blow outs can probably be fixed with a puncture repair kit.
I want to show the company how much business they lost by not giving a refund and making you post a review. Fuck this couch definitely not going with anything they make ever.
Hold it against them. The exact 2 things happened to the one I have, same exact places, on lower unit and cousiin. same time span. I would say definitely manufacture defect. But I only gave fifty bucks for mine
I got a chair for my balcony, couldn't even get it blown up, different fixings , for the pump, one of the insertions as massiive so ur basic gear won't fit it

Wow! I'm glad I watched this follow up review! I won't be purchasing this after all. Ty again for sharing :-)

glad it helped, thanks for watching!
As a Skinny 45kg woman I’m glad this couch won’t be a issue lol I’m a feather to this couch
Thanks mate, I'm glad to see this review I'll reconsider this buy
I don't think its meant for everyday use. Maybe for camping or movie nights outside
I’m quite sure this wasn’t meant for everyday use and if your friend is 300lbs why would he sit in your inflatable couch??
😂😂😂

Bicycle tier fix kit 😂😂😂
to be fair 300lbs is 21 ish stone there is a weight limit on it, and given its an inflatable its kinda expected to go wrong lol
Thank you for saving me the money & aggravation..
I hope you was exaggerating when you said 84lbs
has to be an anemic crack addict to be an 84 pound adult
dont inflate it as much and also buy a new one from amazon and return that one as faulty. also these are not meant to replace home furnature these are for camping events.
How are you telling him like you know how much he inflates it?
Tx for the update!
+KnifeCollector031 The Netherlands (Messenhobby) thanks for watching!
If you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies double the original warranty period so you may still be covered.
^^^This.

Me too!
Bought a queen intex mattress used it alot and had inseam failure and multiple small holes like small small they just kept appearing..
thanks
thanks for info, but are there anyways to fix this? I have the exact same issue like yours.
not that I am aware of, for an inseam failure... outer seam can be fixed with the provided patch kit - at least it should. thanks for watching!
thank you for this information
What did you end up getting instead or is the man cave just couch-less?
I was going to buy it but not now
I got a leak from the same place in just 5 days, and I would like to know how to fold and put it in the box so I could return it
Folding it so it fits back in the box will definitely be a chore. I would say probably impossible. You're better off getting a bigger box and sending it back that way. Hope it helps, thanks for watching!
It definitely looks like you over inflated.
Thank you 🙏🏿

good thing i purchased the 5 year warranty for 14 bucks
Where? I want to get one for a remote cabin I'm building, but I'm worried about failure.
I want to show the company how much business they lost by not giving a refund and making you post a review. Fuck this couch definitely not going with anything they make ever.
Thanks👍
Anyway to repair it?
Hold it against them. The exact 2 things happened to the one I have, same exact places, on lower unit and cousiin. same time span. I would say definitely manufacture defect. But I only gave fifty bucks for mine
300 pounds? I'd expect issues especially with how over inflated it looked. Thanks😂✌️
Just buy a new one and then return the old one with the new one shipping information and packaging they will never know the difference
Plastidip the whole thing. Lol
Well for me ( 140kg o_O ) and my 14 cats... aint a good deal... :-D
I got a chair for my balcony, couldn't even get it blown up, different fixings , for the pump, one of the insertions as massiive so ur basic gear won't fit it
Intex Blowz😤 💯
lol i got a large friend lol 😂😆😂😂 I can relate 😁😂 I got one too same situation but diff couch
Not cool. Not many companies stand by their product anymore. It's a shame.
Guess i'll be taking this off the wishlist, Sorry they didn't make it right by you
+rls303 thanks, it happens :) Just glad it was only a $100 loss!
Its not good decision to purchase intex sofa as I also faced the same defect with in 30 days of use....(:
A 300ilb guy?

No offense but fr u prolly didn't take good care of it cause I have one in my bedroom and it's been like 4 months
