Wow!! Well done Matt Fitzpatrick! Thanks to the USGA for bringing these highlights every day. Wish golf was still free-to-air, but these highlights are the next best thing. What an amazing final day!

What a tournement too by the way. Zalatoris has to get one of these closed off soon. Great player and deserving of it. Well played Matt
What a great championship! So exciting down the stretch, and The Country Club is truly one of the best courses in the country. What a spectacular venue. Can we see the Country Club again soon for a US Open, please??
@@Brett733 You can say that about a lot of golfers. If Phil could hit his driver in the fairway he could have had 15 majors by now. I always have a concern when I see a young guy with a long putter.
What a finish, huge congratz to Matt Fitzpatrick, really well done, the course showing its teeth over the weekend. Alot of Class in that leaderboard, all in all a brilliant US Open. These highlights have been exellent. Credit to the channel for showing us alot of golf.
So happy for Matt this was so awesome for him and Billy!!! Will you're a complete class act your time will certainly come soon what players both of these boys are!

@@onlyme112 Yeah so it seems. He played very well for this kind of pressure, very sure of himself by appearance. Well earned win. I was looking for Zalatoris to win it but what a finish.
Fitzpatricks already won like 8 times on the DP world tour so he’s got experience handling pressure coming down the stretch, opposed to Zalatoris who hasn’t won on any major tours.
This is an incredible video to watch. If you’re a fan of the game of golf, you will appreciate the way this video captures all the important shots as the day played out. Very fun to watch!!!
One of the better US Open’s we have witnessed in a while! This tournament should stream in full for free. Was really disappointed when it cut off about 2 hours prior to the finish on the US Open website and then i couldn't watch the end because it was stuck behind a paywall on Peacock.
I really enjoyed this US Open. The Country Club played tough, but fair. The quality of play was top-notch. An impressive 4 amateurs made the cut. Fitzpatrick is a deserving winner who had been playing really well leading up to the US Open and finally broke through. Zalatoris played great, too. All in all, a great week for golf.
Fitzpatrick did play a gutsy round. I think part of his confidence came from the fact that he won the amateur on this course. That was his 'extra' boost.
Wow. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more , the only word I can think of is clocked, winner. Fitzpatrick and his people were totally “beside themselves.” Great to see; a great great ending. The golf and celebration.
Superb golf on show on a good course setup! Seeing so many players in with a shout was brilliant. Hopefully, we get treated to more great final rounds like this one.
I'll tell you what, he'd make that shot 100 out of 100 in practice but with a _one shot _*_lead_* in the US Open, when the story of choking is always written, he hit the shot of a lifetime. Fitz has a little Cam Smith in him it seems -- tough cookie. Congrats on the cash too.
I was rooting for Scottie and Will (the two Dallas boys) to finish one and two but Scheffler collapsed again about the same place he did Saturday. Props to the British kid. Matt deserved the win and he seems like a pretty decent guy. 👍🏻
14:17: Perfect example of when it's good to miss way right. Fitzpatrick found himself way off the fairway and in the gallery, where the ground was trampled down. Good lie and good approach angle. Now you have poor ol' Zalatoris who missed the fairway by maybe 15 ft. and was hitting out of thick rough. Result: Bunker. I wonder if sometimes those missed drives are done on purpose.
They know. So, he played it to the right side of the fairway, instead of the center. Nicklaus was the best ever at knowing where the best miss was. Playing the percentages.
Winner almost always catches a big break. Last year Rahm hit one that was 90% going to be ob and ended up with a free drop. Any of the top three deserved the win. Fitzy caught a break there and hit a bomb birdie and that's your difference
Scheffler blew it. It’s a shame bc he prob only has about 1-2 more years playing at this insane level before he drops off like Koepka did, like Bryson did, like all greats seem to do. Would have been cool if he could have pulled this off
Ping S55 irons in the rignt hands are Still deadly accurate nearly ten years later despite all the latest greatest tech, that nine iron on 18 out of the bunker....Fitzpatrick really closed the deal with that shot.
I hit my dad's 30 year old bladed Wilson irons way better than my modern Taylormade M2 irons. The talk about forgiveness seems like marketing bs to me, and the older irons feels much better to hit. I do hit it farther with the modern irons, but that is pretty irrelevant for me anyway.
