And I have to join the choir, you have to do "Sleepwalking Past Hope" at some point. "Soul On Fire" would be awesome too, in case you're in the mood of another more straightforward rock song. Been waiting for another HIM reaction video since you did "Wicked Game" . True enough this song really showcases Ville Valo's 5-octave vocal range. Just love how he so effortlessly goes from lows to high (to screams in live shows). And he's got so much better in time (he was about 21 in this video), he's hands down one of the very best vocalists on the scene today, and his voice is just superb. Someone from Loudwire, reviewing a gig from HIM's Farewell Tour in 2017, stated : "Ville Valo’s magnificent voice is a gift to the somewhat wilting world of music played on real instruments, and we’ll always be thankful for the 26 years Valo and his bandmates enriched our lives." Looking forward to the next HIM reaction video. I suggest"Soul on Fire" (live at the Orpheum Theater)
Thank god I saw HIM live in Helsinki just before they parted. It was one of their last shows. Ville Valo is absolutely phenomenal live vocalist. You should check out their whole gig from Orpheum Theatre, just amazing show! Thanks for the review!
Regarding Ville's vocal range: before the band took properly off they also did some cover gigs in Helsinki, each time playing full shows of one band. Ville, who actually actually had been a bass player was ushered to be the vocalist so he hasn't trained to be a singer that much, and the band (which during those days was His Infernal Majesty, later abbreviated to HIM due to other band of the same name) played cover gigs of Type O Negative, Sisters of Mercy and King Diamond. And both Peter Steele from Type and Andrew Eldritch are from the very lower end of vocal range whereas King Diamond is from the very highest end. So Ville has an amazing range and I'm under the impression that before he started singing in the band he didät have any singing experience at all. :o And I remember those gigs being very very entertaining and I'm hesitating to say that they might've actually been even better than the gigs I've seen of those original bands! (granted, I didn't see the King Diamond gig but my ex wife did and she thought it was awesome...)
Gosh how much I love this song. If you want to do another cover by HIM I'd suggest you do the HIM - Rebel Yell @ Provinssirock 1999 it's absolutely amazing version
The Heartless from this same overdrive performance is also super killer. Scratch that, this WHOLE Overdrive performance is their greatest recording to this date I’d say.
H.I.M. (His Infernal Majesty) and their amazing Singer Ville Valo were absolute Superstars here in Europe (Nr 1 Charts Position)/a Teenie Poster Boy also ;) .....everybody knows their Ballards,but they were a damned good Rock Band too !!!

The great combos between keyboard by Juska Salminen aka Zoltan Pluto, the lead guitar, the bass by Migé, and the Voice of Ville Valo ! It was ... Powerful ! I discovered HIM by this song, on Viva Zwei. I was 10 years and i was absolutly scared and impressed by the power of his voice and the alchemy of this band. It was for me a revelation ! It's their heaviest song, one of the most dynamic ones in terms of vocals, it's super atmospheric with the synthesizers and everything and I absolutely love the lyrics. Maybe you're just not the biggest fan of their first album...?

His kindness was never in question, your attitude was however. Your response was rude and unnecessary and honestly you can just be on your way now. I don’t believe you know his girlfriend, whether he has one or not, but again, that’s no concern for either of us. He doesn’t seem the type to date fans, so you can stop being offended for him at the thought of someone throwing a bra on stage.
