Great review and spot on - the trigger, lack of spool guard and magnetic tension set too high out of the factory made me return mine! Wish i saw this first!
The drag system might be a little light for trophy carp or any big fish thru the ice, but it will still handle any big fish. Just gotta let the line out when you need to.
@@WildUrbanAdventures It’s bad that the reel is too small in diameter, it will take a long time to reel in the fishing line... if it was at least 60 centimeters or more, it would be good.
Real informative, I've been looking at getting the ICX Carbon but not liking the issues that you pointed out. I like to palm my reels also and not having the guard go all the way around the spool wouldn't work for me. Also having to pull the trigger that far back to free spool doesn't look like it would work real well with small hands. Hopefully they update for next year 👍👊🕳🎣 subscribed 👍

and do they have enough power to pull large trophy carp out from under the ice?..or is it a reel for a small fish?
