I have listened to his ‘Not Nice’ book twice this past month. I have now incorporated many of his methods/suggestions into my daily life. Very helpful stuff. Life changing for this stressful perfectionist. 🙏

I think I was addicted to being nice when I was young. I cringe when I think back on my 20s and 30s and I suffered terribly from niceness. I even overheard a partner whisper to his sister that I was his slave with a snide tone in his voice. I just didn't understand and I was just trying to have a fun life and keep the peace. I didn't realize that others with character flaws would feast on me. I love watching stuff like this. I still struggle with niceness but I have gotten so much better about it and I am a million times happier.

Thank you, Gretchen - I was really excited to delve deeper into a topic that's a real issue (and often unrecognized or not taken seriously enough) for many TMS'ers - including me. Keep up the good work!
