I had 8 weeks off work after my hysto, but it was at the same time as my first stage phallo so it's a bit different. Resting is definitely for the best. I think it took like 12 weeks for all the bleeding and stuff to stop and heal over for me. It's super sucky. Make sure you look after yourself and heal up well. :]
What I don't understand is: where does it come from? I thought like normally you bleed from that shit that was removed. But as you are not having those body parts anymore... Is this like bleeding from an internal wound? That sounds scary as hell to me. O.o
I think the bleeding comes from the stitches/the wound 'ripping' (sorry I can't think of a better word) and leaking a little bit. The tissue has a high blood supply, that's why even a little wound/too much activity after an injury/operation can cause a good amount of bleeding - and a hysto is not a little wound/operation, so someone might expect more bleeding. In my country you can't go to work for at least (!) 6 weeks for exactly this reason. Also, the fact that the blood was a light red suggests that it was blood from the veins around the area - which is still blood, but 'better' if it was dark red which would suggest that it came from an artery - that would be a sign to go to an emergency room immediatly.
SunshineRiot: you are exactly right it's the wounds that are made from removing the body part. Its not the same thing as the problem it was removed for. When I had mine the same thing happened but not as severe as Reed's but my doctor told me the same things about the healing process. The great thing is once you are heal you don't have one again, you never have to worry about unpleasant surprises at the worst possible time. Any pain you may have had because of that orgen in that area of your body, gone once you are healed. I have not worry about it or dealt with it for 2 years once I was healed.
Had my hysterectomy a little over two weeks ago . Bleed first day then was fine but now started bleeding about 5 days ago not too happy about seeing blood
Well this makes me a bit nervous, as I have my hysto with Dr. YGC in October. Good to be aware the bleeding can occur even after a few weeks. How did you feel energy-wise after surgery? Still trying to figure out how much time I should plan on taking off work.
i had crazy bleeding/clot passage about a week and a half post op (3.5 weeks post op now). hoping to god I'm in the clear but who knows. my surgeon told me not to expect anymore bleeding at this point(she also told me about the pad an hour thing). right now my biggest thing is getting my digestive system back to normal and reducing swelling around my incision since i had the total abdominal instead of laproscopic. I don't have anymore appointments with her as she told me the 6 week appt would've just been a clearance to have sex basically, which doesn't apply to me lol.
I hoped you wouldn't have any more problems. The pain is gone, which is good. But, bleeding, that just sounds like a nightmare. I'm sorry that that's been such an issue.
Stumbled across your video when doing a search on bleeding post hysto...sigh. I am just over 4 weeks post op and have basically been bleeding the entire time. A few days throughout only spotting but for the most part a decent amount everyday. It’s a mind fuck to say the least especially after being on T over 10 years. How long did your bleeding ultimately last?
This was posted so long ago so idk if you’ll see this. But I’m having the same experience and have been freaking out. I had some questions like when did it finally stop for you because it’s just been so stressful.
I am in the same boat at 3 weeks post-op and scared silly as to what is going on. I can't get in touch with my surgeon or my family doc because it's Thanksgiving weekend here. Ugggghhh!!!!
It's been 13 days since my hysto I haven't bleed but yesterday I was spotting but today I woke up to pee and Dham I've been bleeding bright red like alot. I'm kinda scared rn laying in bed. Idunno y I'd start now this is scary
Cj Nepinak I got my laparoscopic hysterectomy on the 11th and I notice I only bleed after I use the bathroom and pee but the bleeding started around the 18th .... and I informed my doctor my post op is this Wednesday so hopefully get some answers I’m not bleeding through a pad a hour but I am bleeding throughout the day on one and their is some leaking when I cough or laugh and sometimes the bleeding does subside after a rest for a day but my mom also told me it was normal to bleed after and them at the doc just had to coterize a piece it wasn’t anything extensive though But I will hopefully find out when it Wednesday comes
Watching this because preparing for it.. I’ll be caring for someone post op. Im wondering what pads/pants did you use? I’ve been looking online for men’s products so it’s not as triggering to use ladies products.
I am 13 and I am so confused. I am a girl but I feel like I should be a boy. Should I talk to Someone about seeing a gender therapist or something? And also I just think my name doesn’t suit me. Like it’s very uncomfortable whenever someone calls me.
I got a hysterectomy 2 weeks ago and started randomaly bleeding couple days ago, bleeding was soaking couple pads an hour, went to ER everything came up fine, then went to doctors, gave me vaginal estrogen to see if blood will stop. Took that yesterday, still bleeding I wonder what it comes from. Could it be caused my being on hormones for so long?
@@venicegolden That's great !!! I'm sure by now your feeling MUCH better.Well I pray It stops soon for me Feel like I'm going to loss it😔 ..Thanks for responding buddy

Do we have to be completely undressed for this? I'm so shy
So, "male privilege". What is it actually? What are it's actual features?
You’re so, so young :(
Like I said, these doctors and surgeons should be disbarred and imprisoned. Playing Dr. Frankenstein with humanity.
