I don't believe it. The statistics prove that excess cholesterol causes arterial obstruction. Humans produce cholesterol - all animals (except for a few invertebrates) produce cholesterol. The human body produces enough cholesterol for its needs. Adding other cholesterols into the diet increases a person's chance for obesity, atherosclerosis (clogged arteries), and heart disease. It has been proven, and it takes a few simple searches at highly recognized medical communities (John Hopkins, Mayo Clinic, Washington School of Medicine, etc.) to find well-researched studies that prove the negative effects of high cholesterol.
@@Thinkforyourselves64 - I'm sorry that your doctor doesn't care. I suggest that you alter your diet. Greatly reduce saturated fat, processed white sugar (try monk fruit), processed white flour (use whole grain flours), processed foods and fast food. Instead, eat plenty of vegetables, fruit, whole grains, beans and legumes. I listen to many of the lessons from Dr. Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr. He wrote the best-selling book, "Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease." He is also one of the contributing doctors of the documentary, "Forks over Knives." That's a good video to watch. I think "Forks over Knives" is free to watch on RUclips. I hope the best for you!
I enjoy using a Monkfruit/Erythritol blend when baking. You can blend it up, turning it into a powdered sugar texture, which might be more pleasant tasting for some. I love using the blend for making homemade strawberry jam as well.
Very helpful. Not diabetic but do tend toward now blood sugar. Sugar causes insulin spikes for me. I am a "super taster" so like the monk fruit better. Stevia leaves an aftertaste where monk fruit doesn't, and even seems to improve flavor for me.
Thanks for the info! I've been substituting sugar with stevia and/or monk fruit extract for awhile now in my cooking. I love the fact that it takes less the amount of regular sugar, but packs twice the sweetness. My dad has type II diabetes so it runs in my family, and I love sweetness in all my dishes. Of course everything should be used in moderation, but I'm so glad I found these alternatives!!
I have used "Pure Sweet" brand of white stevia powder for well over a year. No ill effects from it but you do have to use care when handling it so you don't get a lot of it airborne and breathe it in. 62 yr male - in one year dropped 40# 225>185 and long time high blood pressure is now normal.
My brother told me about RX sugar replacement ( Allulose). I have been using it in place of honey or stevia( sickening sweet for my taste). I find it tastes more like sugar but not super sweet. I have used it on my organic oats with berries, chia seeds, creamy Tahini or walnuts , Benefiber & cinnamon. That with Dave’s organic bread w only 1 gram of sugar from organic juices fuels me until 2:30-3 😋 12:30 No spike or crash later.
I’ve noticed that once I started cutting out sugar. I started sleeping better & I feel more energized. I replaced sugar with stevia & monk fruit. Sometimes I’ll use unsweetened applesauce as a sweetener for my oatmeal or Cream of Wheat.
I get dried stevia leaves put a couple tablespoons in a crock pot with water on LOW (too hot and it gets bitter) steep on low for 24-36 hrs and you get a really sweet green water you can make green oatmeal with the water and no sugar needed. Add cinnamon sticks, cardamon pods, etc. and turn the green water into a Chai base you can use to make tea with and no sweetener needed.
I was recently told that monk fruit was better for me. I just used some, and it has a weird aftertaste, but the monk fruit I have has erythritol as its first ingredient. I love my stevia packets by Stevia in the Raw. After so many decades of Sweet n Low (😑) and that aftertaste, I don't mind the aftertaste of stevia at all.
If I’m wrong, let me know. But I believe Stevia in the raw has dextrose and dextrose raises blood sugar. I have awesome whole earth Stevia erythritol monk fruit natural flavors packets, and they are excellent. I also have monk fruit erythritol from Costco.
I have a enzyme deficiency disorder and a seizure disorder it seems like what's good for one of my medical problems is bad for the other one what suggestions do you think I should take
Im allergic to eyrithritol and allulose ive tried so called stevia amd its bitter and u have to use way too much is there any other alternatives i cam use thst has some carbs but moderatly lower in csrbs ?
Truth is, I'm looking for that perfect taste for my coffee and have bought pure Stevia. I needed only 1/32 t. (that is 1/4 of 1/8 t. you read that right) but there is still a slightly funny taste but not so bad.
i bought a bag of organic stevia powder (non-blend) which comes with a tiny scoop. i put 1 scoop in my morning coffee and the first sip tastes super sweet but every sip after that it no longer tastes that sweet, weird how that is.
I’ve switched to monkfruit (pure) powder. I may try the liquid next time. I find it’s trial and error to get the right amount to hit that perfect “sweet spot”. 😊 I bought the Lakota at Walmart and was disappointed to see it had more erythritol than monk fruit. Unless it’s labeled non GMO I don’t want erythritol.
Stevia liquid "sweet drop" water, stevia & flavor and also powder NuNatural NuStevia just stevia extract. I do not like when it add other sugar to stevia like Erithrol. In the recipes, you can add grind nuts or fruit sauce to do even measurment to recipes.
Took me 3 uses of stevia and no longer gog an after taste . I have just tried the monk fruit sweetener, no after taste but not getting it as very sweet . Hmm...
Unrefined sweeteners are always better. Stevia or monk fruit sweeteners are still refined sugar. Palmyra palm jaggery is a rare natural sweetener, providing some health benefits thanks to its unrefined processed method. It has low glycemic index, vitamins and minerals. Stevia cause me to have nerve pain burning of the nail and burning of my feet. I am now on monk fruit Stevia. I hope it does not cause those problems for me. I am not a diabetic and I don’t drink alcohol. I just want it something that won’t put weight on me the sugars that have OSE in it, they say it causes cancer
My problem is I can't taste the sweetness at all. I can put the equivalent of 10 teaspoon ( ten sachets worth) into my mug of coffee and I taste nothing sweet at all. heheh... Do some people have this issue with monk fruit? Stevia is almost as bad. But I tak saccarine just 3-4 tiny tablet and I taste it so sweet.
Same with erythritol monkfruit for me. And there is WIDE variety of sweetness when it comes to stevia products. I go with "Pure Sweet" brand of white stevia powder. 1/2 heaping teaspoon to sweeten a gallon of super sweet tea (even less for coffee)
Stevia gave e terrible headaches. Now I take Volupta a product with erythritol and a small amount of monk fruit. Erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol and other sugar alcohols are calorie free and benefit our gut flora.
Believe it or not cholesterol has never been proven to be bad even though we've been told that
I stopped taking the statin. Stupid doctor doesn’t really care.

I am embarking on a sugar free lifestyle and this video is so helpful! So grateful. New subbie!
Well done. While not diabetic, I do eat low carb and if we do sweet, we lean toward using natural sweeteners like monk fruit, allulose, and stevia.

Great video, Mom. Your are rocking that season 1 Mary Tyler Moore Show look and it's awesome.

Way to go!
Thank you so helpful
Have you hear of and tried swerve sweeteners?
Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for the practical info.
You are so welcome! So glad you found it helpful!
In the Asian families we use Monk fruit ( whole) in soups or in deserts. We boil it then remove it.
My brother told me about RX sugar replacement ( Allulose).

I just ordered monk fruit sweettener drops.. I'm happy with my purchased. I can also help my husband stop using regular table sugar. Hihi
Fantastic! Cant wait to hear what you think!

Any ideas regarding the idea that even tasting something sweet (like Stevia or Monk Fruit) will cause an insulin response?
I growing stevia plant, can we use green powder for cooking?

I'm Allergic to monkfruit. The 💩 almost killed me. 😔
@@markeyosef1579 dude! 😕
Try "Pure Sweet" brand of white stevia powder.
To me, its the same after taste of cane sugar.
If I’m wrong, let me know. But I believe Stevia in the raw has dextrose and dextrose raises blood sugar. I have awesome whole earth Stevia erythritol monk fruit natural flavors packets, and they are excellent. I also have monk fruit erythritol from Costco.
I can use stevia and monk for baking?
I love liquid organic stevia in beverages, on fruit that's not sweet enough, etc.
Great option!
Oh, and I went to the doctor while I was taking Stevia and they took bloodwork on me and my cholesterol was sky high
I ve tried both and both are great, however; both are much sweeter and sugar! It takes a while to get accustomed to both! 😅
I just bought green tea extract, there’s 15 mg stevia extract, is it good for me ? I want to return it
Truth is, I'm looking for that perfect taste for my coffee and have bought pure Stevia. I needed only 1/32 t. (that is 1/4 of 1/8 t. you read that right) but there is still a slightly funny taste but not so bad.
Try "Pure Sweet" brand.
I tried various ones (and all the liquid forms are nasty) but found this one to be the best for me

14 👍thanks for sharing 😋👌👌👌🤝👈
So glad you enjoyed it!
I have to confess I think I am addicted to Vanilla Sweet Drops which I put into my organic green tea. I hope they are not bad for you...
LOL I am sure they are fine...do you have a link to the product? I'd be happy to look at it for you & share my thoughts :)

Any link to monk that is not blended with ery.. or whatever?
Just go online and look for pure monkfruit. It comes in powder or liquid. Pricey, but lasts for a long time.

I’m not diabetic I’m trying to lose weight and stay off the real sugar is Debbia in the raw good to use please let me know
"Stevia in the Raw" is mixed with DEXTROSE.
It will likely be high in calories AND cause blood glucose to rise.
Took me 3 uses of stevia and no longer gog an after taste . I have just tried the monk fruit sweetener, no after taste but not getting it as very sweet . Hmm...

It's the same with me
I agree. I have to use several dropper fulls to taste the sweetness of stevia
Same with me.

1/2 heaping teaspoon to sweeten a gallon of super sweet tea (even less for coffee)
Stevia is migraine trigger. Stevia is related to ragweed and mix with unnatural chemicals. Both monk fruit and Stevia have bitter after taste.
2:35 Whoa. That was enough stevia to sweeten two gallons (unless it was not "pure sweet" stevia extract).
my only problem with this video is you make it sound like my doctor would know what monkfruit or stevia is. I know how to wing it too.
I have been using my fruit over a month and I have not lost an inch from it I had gained and it’s supposed to help you lose weight lol
I think that monk fruit may have caused hives and skin rashes for me.
Stevia gave e terrible headaches. Now I take Volupta a product with erythritol and a small amount of monk fruit.
Erythritol, xylitol, sorbitol and other sugar alcohols are calorie free and benefit our gut flora.
Whole earth stevia & monk fruit blend.
Is that the best one you’ve had?
why would anyone want to use stevia vs monk fruit if stevia has more potential issues....
Stevia is good for your pancreas!!!
& a Superfood!!!
Monk fruit tastes weird and leaves a weird aftertaste for me …! Use sparingly
But aftertaste of stevia😕, is so weird than monkfruit.
Do, monkfruit is better for me.
Your voice is coming from across the room
I'm Allergic monkfruit. The 💩 almost killed me. 😔 ⚠️
Ewwwww😳. There is a bug crawling in the rim of the bowl at the beginning!
OMG I never saw that...its a stock video I used..wow LOL good catch!
Bad audio
It echos. She has to use a room with curtains and rugs.
Monk Fruit works best for me. I hate the Stevia aftertaste.
Sounds like you’re talking into a tin can.
