Had them both with my A7SIII rig with cage, and for me the Weebill has it all over the RS2. Same exact shots, similar setups, and balances, and the smoothness of the Weebill S was mind blowingly good. The important part is it handled the body, cage, and lenses much much better than the DJI. Then I compared with the same type/brand cage, and A7III. Still preferred the WS. The key to WS is after auto tuning, go through the smooth, and deadband settings. Those have to be set well enough to suit YOUR style. That's the thing with Gimbals, is that they are NOT just a good bad, indifferent thing. EVERY person handles different brand gimbals their own way. If you start with DJI, you most likely are going to know that system well enough that others will fall short. It's like drones... people can't wrap their heads around muscle memory on controllers. Fly Mavics and it's the same, fly any other drone and that Mavic flyer finds the controls different... it's the same thing here. You cannot apply similar settings to one vs another, and compare. It doesn't work that way.
well said, i use mobile gimbals and they are similar, videos that try to prove one is "better" than the other, is all bs. gimbals are all good, same as long as the camera is within the payload. whats most important is calibration and making sure the camera fit properly.
I dont care how good the build quality, app, battery life etc is on the dji if the actual footage doesnt look smoother than handheld with ibis. Idk what the reviewer is on about, the weebill is smoother in every single video.
@@fredriksvard2603 gimbals are very delicate if you miss balance slightly it can cause the footage to be shaky. Also depending on how you hold the gimbal and walk.
For me, the Weebill is the winner because it's so quick to move from undersling to "normal mode". I usually film dance performances where being able to move from low to high really quickly is important and the Weebill S is the best for that case, filming with the X-T3 + Sigma 18-35
Got the rsc-2 last week had the weebill s for a while now and honestly the rsc2 is so much more quality to me and just feels a whole lot better when shooting! No regrets!
I use the Weebill - S on my Canon 5D Mk IV and my Sony FDR AX100 4K camcorder. Works great. Now I'll wait for Gopro 10 to see if the Weebill can handle the weight.
I feel like the Ronin clearly looks better, I have the Weebil S too and I have been thinking about replacing it with the Ronin. Thank you so much for doing this comparison
Rsc2 is more heavy and the wheel to lock are not good, difficult to tighten and untighten and like any wheel, they can lose themselves if you don’t tight enough. Weebill s has unlimited battery life, as you can change them. Dji rsc2 has 3/4 years life, then dji don’t service them, so it is toasted..you lose your $499 dollars. The mechanism to go low mode is ridiculous. I don’t like it. On the weebill s it is smooth transition without stopping the movie.
Watching this sometime later, as I myself probably need to gimbal..... Big advantage for the weeble S is you can get them used for significantly cheaper An RSC2 is something like $400 used, a weeble s you can get for $250 easily. For that price difference, the small amount of shake on the weeble can be removed in post very easily
I had the monstrous setup of ronin s and 24-70gm, versatile and beautiful footage but it is so heavy that it made not want to use it. Downsizing now with gimbal and lens...
Thank you for your review and opinon, which has encouraged me to happily continue using my rock solid DJI RSC2 and not think that a slightly smaller gimbal would be beneficial to me because of better transportability. The quality of the DJI RSC2 is ultimately totally convincing.
Weebill s is lighter and battery are removable and hold 12h. The weebill s has no expiration date like the ronin. The low footage is easier on weebill s, i don’t like the tricky low footage setting on ronin rsc2. Weebill s is less expensive. The weebill s has super fast second handle with 20$ fast adapter.. ronin dji has better customer service. For the stability, we have different views from the samples. It is personal views. With firmware 2.07 which resolve many issues, it is probably the best gimbal right now. The crane m3 could change a lot of thing for travel gimbal. People cannot hold a rsc2 for a travel day, the weebill s is better but the crane m3 despite limitation is the lighter travel gimbal with additional led light super handy.
Excellent review. I'll spend the extra for the DJI. My 68 year-old wrists will probably wished I'd bought the little-bit-lighter Weebil S, but the stability is what is most important. Thanks again.
Great review dude. I generally go for more portable rigs. Cool that dji is such a solid brand but just a lot bigger and this is their smaller one. I hope the firmware on webill helps.
Is the pro combo (focus motor, raven eye, etc) really necessary? Or can you get most of the shots without these? I'm looking into buying the RSC 2 and just starting out with video. I have a Nikon Z50 with a Sigma 18-35 1.8
Thats the video what im waiting for Im using weebil s but it kinda jerky movements specialy in underslung mode So i sell it Now im wondering coming back to crane 2 or rsc2 You have use the crane 2 right? Hows the stabilization of rsc2 compare to crane 2? Appriciate your reply Base on your video rsc2 creates stabilize video =)
I’m thinkin of getting a Crane 2 too, instead of Weebill S. RSC2 is a bit expensive than Crane 2. So have you come to a conclusion about stabilization of RSC2 and Crane 2?
will the raven eye works when the gimbal is in sleepmode because im planing to use those motor locks to turn the gimbal into a run & gun handheld rig, thanks!!!
My old zhiyun crane v2 is waay smoother than my Weebill S. (Sadly) That being said some of the later firmwares have improved the wobbles. Which firmware did you test with??
hey man are you still rocking the rsc 2? I personally noticed the ronin was a lot more sensitive when moving..a bit of a learning curbe...did you notice this as well? and sometimes i feel as if i feel a bit of vibration

I love how your face appeared as spiderman lol Your videos are really well done. Best video I have seen on a gimbal, I will be coming back to this one.
I own the Weebil S and can confirm it will hold R5 (naked) + 24-70 RF at 24mm. But honestly, at 24mm-50mm the R5 IBIS + digital stabilization (not enhanced!) works very good and I end up leaving gimbal at home. Much prefer the stabilized handheld look anyways.
Gimbal quality is at the mercy of the pre-balancing. Every time I see a bad gimbal sample, or obvious difference in a comparison, I can't get away from the question - 'How do we know it wasn't just balanced poorly?'
Weebill 2 auto cal feature solves a lot of bad balancing done by users.. some examples I wonder how it ever worked...but it did. One had the roll axis flop 30 deg before unit powered. Powered it up, set the motor tuning, and it worked perfectly. OTOH I bet if he checked the motor display he would have seen that axis being over worked. That is what I love about the Weebill 2 over all other gimbals.
So. Third comment on here. Question for you. I have the 18-55 Fuji lens I’m using. What are some ways I can get the 18mm to work for vlogging besides breaking my arm holding it out full arm length? I.e. are there any hardware options you can recommend to give me some more arm length? I don’t want to buy a 16mm lens just for this option.
Still trying to decide whether to go for weebill or ronin.. will weebil be bringing out an update version of this does anyone know? as im leaning towards the rsc2 .. but.. would love the smaller form factor of the weebil-s..
