I was surprised to see someone working on heavy commercial equipment on RUclips. The only person I knew about was Holden. Funny to see that he’s your supervisor. I’ll be following for some more good content.

Excellent analysis. Good attention to detail on that dinosaur. The oil system fault on those machines is very often due to sensors causing eev's to flood, checking discharge SH is another good value to look at. High oil temps are another story.

I've switched to Wago wire connectors. Much more reliable and can be visually inspected.

    Hello
It’s my first time watching your video. Really what I liked is your advice to follow an expert to share the information and experience then you introduce the same information to others… I think this is the joyful part of technician carrier. Good luck

Hello Jason,I remember a time that I was on a call in the middle of the night, for a CHANDLER/Kinda like a McQuay unit! Well they kept saying it was tripping on oil sentry, they reset it a bunch of times but no fix! Enter me at 2 AM,so I get there and first thing is an oil fault and it also lost a fan,so in changing the motor I needed to lean into the unit,so i got up on my stool and leaned on and got a huge suprise, the crankcase heater was laying in the bottom of the unit, burnt the shit out of my hand, needless to say it to me 3.5 hrs to do a 30 minute job! But hey no more oil faults! P.S I never told the idiot what was wrong,or that putting the heater back in the compressor was tenfold!thx for the great videos

Worked on a RTAA today with the same oil fault. I work at APS Dallas. We could use a Holden up here! Thanks for the oil tips. I’m going to check the DP across the filter and oil level.

I believe oil system fault is thrown when oil temperature is 4* or more below condenser saturation temperature.

Floodback is 95% the issue with oil problems. Dont matter if it’s a recip or a rotary screw, floodback will wash the oil from the bearings and trip your oil fail or cause further issues with your system like you’re seeing now.

We been changing alot of them, the MXL Pyrotronics systems are obsolete,so whe cant get parts at all! Its kinda funny, they are 20 years old and obsolete, yet we have System 3's that are 40 years old and never been worked on!

Its planned to. I believe the only thing we are waiting on is for the new chiller to be built. Unfortunately, that's a long process and a long waiting list. I believe it's a 1 year wait time on new equipment like this to be ready for installation.
