- It's Safari Weather! I somehow managed to get my hands on one of those Loosenuts safaris everyone has been going crazy over! Today we'll see if we can put it together without breaking the glass. Lets go!

Great video man. I recently got one of these kits. Been waiting on a install video before jumping into mine. Iv not found found a install video so I’ll be waiting for yours to come out. Keep the great videos coming.
It's pretty easy. The hard part is getting the frame on the glass, but if you stretch it tight it goes right on. Mounting it the car is easier with at least 2 people, 3 is better. That video should be out soon!

I have been wanting to order a safari for my 66 but A my timing is never right to get my order in (Heis always "sold out") when I check) and B I've been worried bout the after market windshield's thickness being an issue. I'm glad to see you were using an aftermarket that helps push me into a more "just do it" I guess I should just be more vigilant about getting one. anyway great video I think it will help the VDUBer's out there on the fence about getting one I know it did me. Anyway great video looking forward to the install video
If your glass ends up being too thick you can use an innertube from a 26" bicycle. You just cut it into a strip and stretch it around the glass. Once it's together you trim the excess.

Yes, you can get a loosenuts safari frame. They use the stock glass.

Gets rather wet in the UK. Hoping to fit with success and no interior swimming pool.
The key is to make sure you have good contact with the seal before you tighten the hinge screws.

So a 26” bicycle inner tube will stretch all the way around the windshield if my aftermarket windshield is too thick? Just hoping the windshield I’m using (aftermarket) doesn’t break with the tension….
Thats what Jeremy said. Maybe check with him, but that's what's in his video.

so I have same kit sitting in garage ....just got a aftermarket windshield last weekend....gonna attack this job next weekend.....should I test fit windshield in frame first or think u can make any after market work??? I know Jeremy wants orginal but iam same case as u
Mine fit fine with the provided seal. If yours is too thick you can cut a bicycle innertube and stretch it around the glass. That's what he used to do on the early ones.

well got glass installed into frame today went ok...few mess ups but it looks good...drilling holes next weekend
