First of all, I love the authenticity of this video. The fact that y'all didn't know what that "push" button is for....hilarious. Secondly, when I woke up 24 hours ago, I didn't think I'd be buying a new car. I randomly walked into my Hyundai dealership to check out offers, and I saw this beautiful Kona and fell in love instantly. I traded in my Elantra and purchased this with no regrets. I ran into your channel yesterday, and now, I am 1000% sure I made the right decision.

On the seats . the design of the four dots is as you say the Hyundai logo and the single line above (although I am not a morse code expert) I think stands for the number 4 so it may be that this is the fourth generation Kona

Two weeks ago I bought the 2024 Kona Limited in Chicago. Thanks to the wonderful reviews on this channel I was able to finally narrow down my decision on what to buy. I really wanted to get the Kia Soul as you guys may remember, but I just really fell in love with all the new features on the Kona Limited trim that unfortunately the Soul doesn’t have.

20:47 so if you have a marble in the cup holder area, see if you can make it move from the front to the back, then to the front again, just by driving around in a parking lot.

Would love to trade in my 2019 kona as I love the design of the car but with the issues I've had I'm not sure.
Major problem in the new 2024 Kona, 4cyl turbo. Running into headwind at -40c the car will falter and have no power, it happened to my wife 3 times and our dealership can’t fix it
Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on how these faux leather seats will hold up over the years? Deciding between this and just a regular preferred for about 2000 less.

Was seriously thinking about a Hyundai EV but have been hearing about the absurd pricing for battery replacements which is insane apparently costing near 60K to replace. Until Hyundai seriously makes changes I'll have to stay away. I know those cases are rare but that's still a chance I'm not willing to take.

Glad you enjoyed the video - at this point, it’s not possible to get the trend package in FWD. Personally, I don’t think it will be offered in FWD in the future, since most North Americans prefer the AWD option, but never say never!
Is the engine running light all connected on this trim. Like, do you get the robo cop looking light at night?

Informative video! I wanted to double check - I believe you mentioned that the preferred trend has wireless CarPlay. When I was speaking to the sales person recently. they told me the higher models (aside from base) don't have wireless CarPlay because it has its own nav system. Can you confirm that it actually does? I was surprised this feature wouldn't be available at this trim level as my 2022 Tucson has it at the same trim level. Appreciate it! :)
That is correct - the higher trims have the bigger infotainment screen, which do not support wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. However, we should see this changing on future models!
@@BrantfordKia This is actually no longer the case. Preferred and trend both have wireless CarPlay Auto included I was in one last week. There was a software update that accomplished this in the Kona a few months ago.
I live in southern Ontario. I am extremely interested in this vehicle. I live in Guelph and there is a Hyundai dealer here but from what i heard they do up charging on their prices. I would be interested in visiting your store.

Not in this trim. In Canada ambient lighting starts in the N-Line AWD trim.
I have mine for more than 5 months and I didnt know that the led light at the back seat is a push button hahahahaahah 😅 I am the only one using the car anyway. No passengers 😂

What about sensors for safety, heating wheel...spare tire?😮, ..
Hi! We mentioned all those things in this video! This specific trim is equipped with advanced forward collision avoidance which includes vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians. & much more. The steering wheel is heated and leather wrapped, as for a spare tire none of the KONA models are equipped with one, they have switched over to tire mobility kits.

While the exact amount of oil used in this process isn't disclosed, Hyundai's commitment to eco-friendly design and materials has been put into action since the early 2000’s! Including Interior ceiling finishing materials, seat covers, floor mats, and floor carpets made from fabrics containing bio-PET yarns extracted from sugar cane and corn. Door armrests and seat covers are made of fibers made from recycled plastic bottles!
I think the car looks great EXCEPT for the rear end. The tail lights mounted on the protruding fenders is UGLYYY in my opinion. Looks like the old PT Cruiser. UGH!
