First London to France Eurostar debut was in 1994 and the very first London terminus station was at Waterloo (originally called Waterloo international at the time until 2007 thus moving to St Pancras in which named St Pancras International from 2007). Plus Eurostar operated a third rail where no overhead wires were available in the South Western Mainline. It did switch to pantograph when approaching and joining the HS1 line where overhead wire were available
If you start viewing the video from the thumbnail on your homescreen the subtitles say that music is playing when the first train leaves the station which is funny and weird
Eurostar commenced operations on 14th November 1994 from London Waterloo (Platforms 20-24)
