How to unleash the power waiting in every single note. When Zander dies I want to travel half the world to attend his funeral because he's the person who brought me the most joy in the past many years, all from watching his lessons from afar. Also I believe he deserves national funerals because he is a monument to music, education, joy and love. What's the difference between an average performance and a genius performance ? Zander as a master.
No, it's not the problem. The problem that I have seen in the US is that musicians make a difference between 'heavy' composers like Wagner, Bruckner, Tschaikowsky, and 'light' composers. Schubert is one of the light ones - and that is the biggest mistake you can make. And that's why Zander has to work that hard, and why the first violin sometimes looks kind of bothered. When I listen to the first few bars, my tears will be running. But just Amercan musicians will still smile...
"Bothered" is the wrong word i.m.o. You will notice that she accepts what he says and tries to do it. Obviously, she is excellent as a violinist and as the leader of the group. The situation now produces a mixture of accepting his suggestions and his criticism on the one hand but not losing the necessary attitude of being the first violin, that is, (sorry but true) the leader in Schubert's string quintet - a role she is obviously used to, and this not just incidentally! We see five great young musicians at work, not a bothered violinist.

Maestro Zander please never die, we all need you.
Benjamin Zander is so cool! One of the most insightful masterclass teachers I have ever heard.
Amazing transformation in a few short minutes, from very good to soulfully touching.
Zander closes your music book "you dont need this!"
*internal panic intensifies*
Amazed and Aroused.

it may just be a look of intense concentration. for a lot of us those are the same facial expression.
@@maiarho That's interesting. To me Schubert is perhaps the heaviest composer of them all...
there is no such word in music as tempe, its tempo
Rochester'sGotTalent2019 by Paul Refici tempi is the plural form of tempo. It’s the same thing just different context.
why you always commenting this bullshit at every video they post:/
Tempi is the plural. One piece has many tempi, but there is only one tempo at the start.
It's Tempi. It is plural.
