I just realized today I can do different accounts to keep my business organized but wasn't sure how to transfer the photos over. This was very helpful. Im even able to deleted pics from my other account and still have them under my other account 🙏
I found a way around the frustrating sharing thing. You have to download photos to your device, then upload them into your new account. That way they're separated from google photos and are uploaded as their own image, and will take up storage in your new account (and the originals can be deleted).

But here is 3 important things I would like to do: - Create a new gmail, move the data from my current gmail to the new gmail - Change my plan from the free 15gb plan to a more storage plan - Change the back up settings from Storage Saver to Original Quality My question is what are the order of these steps? considering I don't want to risk losing any data from my old phone. Please help as this is a special complex case.

It takes a few minutes for the storage to be updated. Try disconnecting the other account and see if you still have their photos.
