Lyrics
They're sleeping through the ages
Faces bare of names
Remembrance ever lies
At the bosom of the insane
Death's cold embrace
Across the restless seas
Unfolding the wish to forget
The eyes of the deceased
Thirst for the wine in my hand
Third from the sun
The heart of death
A thought for fake desires
Starving through the night
Engulfed in an earthbound fire
Left all alone among the dances and cries
They seed all the hate
Within the shade of sights Видеоклипы
This is visionary metal. I can’t imagine writing those leads. Just incredible.
I think because of Cold Lake (which even the band themselves admitted was a mistake) a lot of people never gave Vanity/Nemesis a chance. And that’s a shame, because it is a good melodic thrash album.
music was good , but they
looked like poison 😁👍
COLD LAKE was amazing, sorry, just admit it, and what a ballsy album to make.
@@joesmith9216 Well, I admit that for hair metal it could be a lot worse.
That was me. Into The Pandemonium was a tough pill in parts but I can deal with the avant garde stuff. Cold Lake...ooof. Had they gone back to the TMT image with this music they would have been OK.
@@metamorphicblood it was not ''hair metal'' it was indeed GLAM influenced though, by motley and la guns, its also just more of a hard rock album. I am open minded in music, I think it was awesome. Frost always did experiment.
This is the best NYHC ever from a band that’s not from NY or is HC
Him wearing the L.A. GUNS shirt makes it totally rad!
Absolutely love every song on this album.
Confirm. \m/
Tom G. Warrior is a true original. I think I'd listen to anything he comes up with.
The fact that 3 of these guys were from Hellhammer. Crazy.
Ahhh their best work!
I worship the Original Hell Hammer and not the cover band we see now.
@@jumpfart666 agree the original band 👍
@@jumpfart666 Celtic Frost minus Cold Lake is definitely an improvement over the mighty Hellhammer
Only 2 , the drummer joined celtic 85
Finally, an HD version
This sound is incredibly bad ass. Heavy as fuck. Yet just different somehow.
That's Frosted Flakes for ya...they're grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat!
Untouchable! Hail to Roli Mosimann.
Vanity/Nemesis was a fantastic release. I do believe it doesn't get enough love these days or the appreciation that it should.
This channel has returned me to listen again Celtic Frost after 20 years later 🥰🥰🥰 After these years I just realised Celtic Frost was actually one of the most vaulable metal band and Tom G is a real genius
Same here😂
Had alot of technical guitar shit they were not known for but still had Tom's signature grunt!
His voice doesn’t translate to the glam look. But now listening to this years later I like it much more.
Vibe for days. Loved every era.
Christ, the intro, good Lord
The year was 1984, I was the long haired black rocker kid in the Scooby van with a 400 watt system crankin circle of the tyrants as the bruthas stared in horror, lol
That's an amazing visual, dude hahah...good for you!
That second guitarist absolutely rips as a lead guitarist
Underrated album! 🤘🏾
right ,label dude did with
cold lake good job 😁👍
@@mumu5013 I don't hate Cold Lake but it's obviously the worst 🤣
CELTIC FROST Rules!!!!
I don't give a **** what any wussies say who can't handle an experimental sound change on 1 album. All Celtic Frost albums sound different !!
TOM G. WARRIOR is a genius.
PS: Cold Lake is awesome.
Thank you for continuing to upload these videos, nice to have everything on an official channel
This song kicks ass! 🤘🏻
This is fantastic and better than ninety percent of current metal of any genre. Uh.
Un groupe carrément sous estimé depuis 40 ans😢😢
Basso ai vertici... 🎸 al meglio del proprio ruolo!
What a beautiful song! 👍 👏
My favorite album of celtic frost 🤘🤘💀
Vanity/Nemesis was the first CF album which I heard. I love it 😘 💖 🤟
After 17 years of waiting, it has been done. this video is now in HD
Godly! Tom G Warrior way of saying I'm God among the metal hierarchy, no matter the genre.
No
Halford
WOW!!! Why have I never seen this video!!! Bad ASS!
I remember as a kid my dad had a hard n heavy vhs tape and seeing this video on that tape now at 26 finding it on RUclips awesome 🤘🔥
Warm Lake
Amazing classic 🤘😈🤘!!!!
Pure excellence from Celtic Frost 🔥👊🤘
i had no idea that it was like this. i really like it!
Once you here the first UH!! you know you are in good headspace
What a great comeback/return to form the album was.
Gotta get some of that "Mexican Radio " the Frost...ever so cool (pun intended).🤘🤘🤘
Awesome I love this band
Underrated banger
Love all their shit
Powerful!
I bought Cold Lake on cassette in 1988, along with a couple other albums because they had cool cover art. I never thought it was a bad album, even after I eventually had all the CF albums on CD. Was it their best? No. But not terrible either. The large question is, did the opening riff for Cherry Orchards come straight from Metallica's Seek & Destroy?
Best old school band
Your mom's old and she didn't go to school. But celtic frost schooled you in rawk son.
Rock it guys
If another band had made this album it might have been OK...but it wasn't worthy of Celtic Frost. Their original albums were just too brilliant. Thank goodness they came back to awesome form with Monotheist.
jippie. celtic frost ist zurück. richtig cool
Tom has actually gotten better looking with age 😄
j'adore !!
I don't care what anyone says, that breakdown at 1:06 is fucking killer.
600 thump up it's me !! ----love it! am 53 celtic always in my life!!!! ALWAYS TILL DEATH
1990 baby
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Essa fase do Celtic Frost é a personificação do Old School.
Definitely unique and different
I first saw this on Hard & Heavy!!!!
Masterpiece! underrated album!
Отлично!! Музыка юности.
Ab-so-lu-tely amazing!
FUCK YEAH!!!
👌
Great quality!
I had this song stuck in my head earlier today
🔥🤘🔥
I still have this Vanity/Nemesis album on vinyl. What a great album it is. A Kiss or a Whisper is a better of a song. Would fit on any Morbid tales,Emperors return or mega thereon.. even into the Pandamonium. Other great moments on the album. Tom should have dropped the La guns t shirt from this video though. Heart beneath is a great tune also.Phallic Tantrum and Restless seas great thrash tunes too.
Respect..UHH 👊
gawwwd that heavy, post chorus sludge riff ❤
EH!🤘😈👍
I wish this whole cherry orchards era never happened, but hey at least they survived grunge
0:34 L.A. Guns T-shirt 🤘😈👍
Nice...
Gracias
the only band to go from death metal to glam metal, then to Vanity/Nemesis 1990 album. Very Unique.
Tienes razón pero sería más correcto decir "metal extremo" porque también influyó en otros subgéneros como en el black metal y el Trash metal
TOTAL RESPECT FROM POLAND - FOREVER!
Uugghh 🤜🤘🤛
🤘💀🤘
Gut
Glam and thrash? I love this!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🎸🎸🎸
Is this band from Sweden, no, I think they're from Switzerland... I feel like SOD taught me everything I know about this band...
I love this sound. Yes, it's not the first generation Celtic Frost but good nonetheless.
Martin Eric Ain ❤
Очень много разномастных коллективов ими вдохновлены, это: Winter, Delirium, Mourning, Slaughter, Cianide, Asphyx, Tiamat, Obituary, Dream Death, Grave, Hatebreed, Warhammer, Coffins, Halberd, Divine Eve, Crimson Relic, Sludge, Inner Thought, 16, Thee Plague of Gentlemen, Serpentcult, Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Enslaved, Mayhem, Goatlord (вероятно), Doom Snake Cult (вероятно), Morgion, Vallenfyre, Strigoi, Carnage (вероятно), Entombed (вероятно), Foo Fighters, Akatharta, Hooded Menace, Samael, Rotting Christ (вероятно), Septic Flesh (вероятно), Sadistic Intent, Darkthrone, Totenmond (вероятно), Drecksau (вероятно), Melvins, Totengott, Paramaecium (вероятно), Usurper...
👍👍👍👍
🙋⚡⚡
they quit way too early ☹️
great album 😃👍👏✌️
Love the LA Guns t shirt!
Slower version of Slayer, but such an underrated band.🤘
Sounds like my grandad firing up the ol' chainsaw
They say it’s a glam album but it’s so heavy but I still love morbid tales
Lots of people hate this album (For understandable reasons) But god damn I love this song
After the abomination we had the (slightly) better vanity/nemesis to contend with. I bought this on release day and while it's not the horror show that is Cold Lake it really hasn't aged well. Just play circle of the tyrants, this is painful in comparison.
As far as I know, Tom doesn't have much time for this album either. They were both mistakes spoiling what was a fantastic legacy. Thankfully Monotheist corrected that error and gave us a far more fitting epitaph.
1990
Even though I dislike this period of CF, this song is great.
What cold should have been.
This band reminds me Sepultura
Vanity is good.
VENOM 🐐🤘
period black or glam, everything (same cold lake) is good at celtic frost
