For low light is better the Col Standard or Col Vivid? I am going to an electronic music festival and I want to record at night too (I know it won´t have an amazing quality but is just for me) Thanks!

A country either uses pal (50hz) or ntsc (60hz). So if you use the wrong one, then you will see light flickering in your videos
Hi, followed your advice and went for manual settings, while skiing with X2 on my helmet and quality was good.
If I were to film a timelapse sunset, would you recommend auto instead?

Try iso priority mode. Set ISO 100 and let the shutter speed change automatically. Never tried it myself but It should do the trick in video Timelapse mode👍🏽 photo interval mode is complicated to edit. Jus try video Timelapse for now

OH how about in 1080p do you have a sample vids.cuz here in philippines usually we use 1080 cuz our internet speed here is so poor .Base on your review about this insta360 one x2 if you compare this to a gopro hero 10 with 1080p also which of this 2 would you recommend about this low light situation
you must film in 5.7K 360 video to get a 1080p output from a 360 camera

If I'm shooting fast moving mountain bike footage in the shadow of trees what would be the ideal settings? Can I set direct on the camera or do I have to use the phone app?
if you are going in and out of shadows then its probably best to stay auto. But I have a cheat sheet in the video description which will show you how to lock the exposure using manual mode.
Love your video's. Still figuring out in what codec to film, h264 or h 265. And how to export the video.

Yes you can change the settings either on the app or X2 itself 😊. I definitely have older videos which show the process on the app!
high shutter speed + low iso = dark video. so its a trade off. i personally would leave it on auto, walk slower and denoise in post, and maybe reduce exposure in post.

I would definitely like the resolution to be higher in the future but higher resolution will demand higher spec hardware to deal with large file sizes

Hi. I'm so in love with all your contents about insta360 and persuade me to join the fun. Unfortunately, I'm facing some problems with the insta360 app, the video preview always lagging. Currently it's installed on my Samsung A52 (RAM 8GB). Would you like to gimme suggestion how to sort out the problem? Thanks 😊
Hmm, it could be that the phone processor is not high spec enough. I recommend using a flagship smartphone like the samsung galaxy series. Maybe test it on a friends device before you buy one to confirm whether it's an issue with your phone.

I'm having trouble with settings for low light snowboarding days. Lots of white, but difficult to get the contrast of the snow. Any tips appreciated. Should I just use auto and adjust EV/WB or should I go manual mode and learn about how to dial in each setting. I normally record at 5.7k 30fps if that helps you recommend settings for a manual low-light/white shot.
Also curious how I would change the settings for a bluebird, high light day. If you did a video on your recommendations for those two snowboard days I could see it performing well, many one x2 users like me!

I think with snowboarding it will be good to follow the manual exposure flowchart. Otherwise the exposure will keep changing as you go in between trees. On a bright blue sunny sky day I am normally using iso 100 and ss 1/2000. If it's too dark, then just lower the shutter speed

Hey man, I saw somewhere that said if you edit/export via m PC you get better image quality than if you export through editing through the phone. Is that true?

No it has to be just a microphone
@@Best360 Thanks - very disappointed in this lack of features, Gopro and other name brand cameras have the ability to cater for external MIC's in various guises, Insta cannot - not very good in my opinion.

I tried shooting with ISO 200 and 1/100 shutter speed for Christmas lightings, but seems too dark… I will try ISO 400 next time. Can I still do anything post editing to make it brighter?
Yes try 400 and it should be better. If 400 is still dark then it’s probably too dark to film there. Check the footage on the spot and adjust the exposure accordingly 👍🏽 you can try lift the shadow a little bit in post to brighten it up

How do you import edited reframed insta360 videos back to insta360 app? I exported my reframed video to a PC to be upscaled and I want to share it to instagram, do I need to import it back into iphone, how to do that? Thanks.
Unfortunately the iPhone file management is very complicated. You have to download your video from the cloud like Google drive onto your phone, and then upload onto Instagram

really depends on the lighting situation there. can't judge it before hand. It's a lot of trial and error to get the correct exposure and effect you are looking for.

can you add a light to inst360 x2?
For regular video cameras, the rule for shutter speed is 2x the frame rate. Why is it 4x for this camera? Because it's 360?
You can use 2x shutter speed when the camera is still. But when the camera is moving you need at least 4x shutter speed to avoid motion blur. Because these cameras use stabilisation algorithms like flowstate. With low shutter speeds, flowstate doesn’t work properly
iso 400?! what if i'm not satisfied even with iso 100 and bright sunlight? I see noise in the blu sky, etc. If i raise iso to 400 at night, i get horrible noise. I definetly need to filter it, but which is the fastest way?
Use the remove grain option in the app/studio to remove the noise. It helps a lot

Why you always change between 5.7k/30 and 4k/25???
Filmic pro doesn’t allow me to use a shutter speed which is a multiple of 25 with 4K30 so I have to use 4K25 to avoid light flickering. I use 5.7K30 with ONE X2 because it’s better for stabilisation than 5.7K25.
