Go ahead and "windbag" all you want. I enjoy your videos. I was forced to retire due to a work injury and surgery. I miss flatbedding more than I ever would have believed, and it helps to hear your stories. Thank you.
Have not previously commented. I thoroughly appreciate your videos, your humor and sarcasm. My son has just recently begun driving for Gordon Trucking (based out of SLC., Ut.), also newly married & his wife will be joining him OTR after she tests out, having trained through a community college program here. I wish them well as they embark in their chosen journey and have followed your own beginning adventures and beyond to gain, vicariously, some knowledge and sense of what he (and shortly his wife) are and will be experiencing. So - a big 'Thumbs Up' and thank you for your dedication, your responsible personality and all that you personally accomplish in this trucking business. Who you are and what you have done and are doing is indeed helpful more than you may know. I count you as a friend. Safe Journeys!
Cool video. Dale seems like a cool guy. I will be starting private trucker training school soon locally in the Chicao suburbs. In the meantime, there so many truckers on youtube to show me the real world. Keep on truckin'! :)
It’s all about reacting to being out here. Everyone of us are different and have different ways of doing this job. Good luck on you driver training Patrick
Dale, I finally got my own channel so I can comment now. Really appreciate the videos and just you being you. I’ve learned a lot from you and some other brothers as well. I’m just getting into the flatbed so all your tips really help. Every time I see a Maverick truck it makes me smile to think of you and the Maverick team as a whole. I’ve talked to a couple guys out west. I like the training they give you guys. Thanks for sharing it. See you out there.
Any good pointers is always good to highlight as there's always folks that want to observe good techniques when handling loads for flatbed. Keeping that in mind, the folks that like what your presenting will be the ones hanging on. Drive safe out there.
Hi Dale - More questions on the living conditions... Are you able to keep a regular sleep schedule? Does your rig have the plug-in thing (shoreline or whatever its called to run heat or AC? Have you ever tried driving at nigh time when ostensibly there is less traffic on road especially thru a big city? How are the showers at truck stops, nice or gross?
+s. fitz Yes, I sleep great, it's my highest priority. Yes my truck has an EPU and runs my Heat or AC. I don't drive at night because that'd when I sleep. All the showers I have used are pretty decent. Gross showers are in the deserts of foreign countries.
Happy New Year, Mr, Clay. Always enjoy the videos, and the windbaggery stuff is classic and cool. I like the verbiage you use. Reminds me of "Johnny Carson". You got the nack.
Just some friendly advice Dale..... It looked like on your Trailer, Left Front Axel, you had a Unused Strap Ratchet resting above your tire. I was always told not to have them there because the right Pothole, with enough Weight, could allow the Ratchet to Rip your tire open. I have lost a few trailer tires that could have been taken out by a Wayward Ratchet.....FYI my Friend,
Mr.dale I don't think you are rude you just tell them how it is keep the video coming from Paris Texas God bless and be safe out there and on your adventure from Paris Texas and stay warm
Sorry...fat fingers...the question is are you using a GPS system other than what Maverick provides? If so, can you tell me what GPS it is please? Thanks.
Dale Clay when u first began your journey at maverick did they give u the option to train with somebody who has a automatic or manuel.also how was the road test i just passed my cdl test monday

Lol always make me laugh with your comment and made of words but besides that I always find your videos very knowledgeable take care of yourself and God bless
Hey Dale, HNY ! When you do your pre-trip planning, are you required to enter your plans into your Omnitracks so that the company has an idea of your route and timeline?
No I don't have to put my free plan into omnitrax or notify Maverick of anything. The load assignment usually contains an appointment pick up and drop off so they already know a rough ETA and it's just my job to fulfill the mission.
There's nothing more relaxing than abit of good old fashioned windbaggery, these windbagophobes need to just sit back, relax and take in a good windbagging.
I know absolutely NOTHING about truck driving except, don't cut you guys off when I'm pulling my 5th wheel camper! So, I find you wind-baggery" educational and entertaining. P.S. I am a retired County Deputy, and the only time I ever dealt with truck drivers was usually during the winter, and you guys were in the median, or a ditch. Only wrote one driver a ticket, but that's because he was DWI, and hit a bunch of parked cars in a Village. Actually, he was a former truck driver the moment he made contact with the first car...and he got mad at ME, because I, "...caused him his job!"

Haters gonna... keep coming back to hate! 😂 I can only laugh when you continuously participate with your wind 💨 bagery!!!!! Shippers always checkin us flatbedders out! I thought you were Dale? Not Serious? I was thru 80 East Sunday morning past Morris it was gettin pretty slick around that TA. My right side wiper loosened up and should’ve seen how much ice was on it. They didn’t go to Gary... I wonder if my comment has been windful 💨 enough. I stopped at a little “quickmart” like that once. Went in grabbed ice and some pops (I’m from western Pennsylvania) and got such a look from the young African America lady behind the counter. She looked at me as if I didn’t belong. Paid for my stuff and blew out of there pretty fast 💨 💨💨💨 Hope someone reads this and complains!!!!! 😂
Do you delete the negative comments ? I’ve watched numerous videos of yours and have never seen any. They could be there but I don’t read into them to much and don’t pay them much attention. Safe travels man.

I like watching your videos. Being a fellow Maverick like to see what is going on with other people
What exactly happens when snowstorms are forecast? Do you just gotta drive thru the stuff???
+s. fitz I drive and then stop driving when I feel it's unsafe. That applies to all weather conditions.
Any good pointers is always good to highlight as there's always folks that want to observe good techniques when handling loads for flatbed. Keeping that in mind, the folks that like what your presenting will be the ones hanging on. Drive safe out there.
+Frank Irwin Thanks
