  • It still feels like a miracle.
I went from finding a lump at 10, getting misdiagnosed for 6 years to finally getting a cancer diagnosis at 16 to now having 3 kids and a life I love 28+ years later.
    This is my cancer story.
A story I wanted to share with you so you could see that there is another possible option too - thriving after cancer.
I hope my story and some of the things I learned along the way helps you too!
Also - just wanted to share one of the Christian songs that helped me so much during this time called "He knows my name":
    I have a Father
    He calls me his own
    He'll never leave me
    No matter where I go
    He knows my name
    He knows my every thought
He sees each tear that falls
and hears me when I call.
I hope it speaks to you and comforts you in some way too.

Thanks for sharing your story Becky. Our stories are so powerful to those in the community. As you mentioned it helps us feel connected and less alone. I appreciate you and am so grateful to have found you to help me through my cancer journey. You see me, and that makes all the difference.

Thanks Becky, i finally had a chance to listen to your story. It's amazing how some of us can hang in there with improper diagnosis.
Mine was eight years from the first lump to the third lump removal & it was large enough to get it biopsied enough to get the result of Desmoplastic Melanoma.
Then I'm told most people only live 4 to 5 years undiagnosed. I'm Still here, PTL.
But yes, there is always the lingering thought of when or in my case how it will show up again. Very little is known about this stain.

I'm so glad it spoke to you in some way! I totally get it and go back to just how lucky I was - the scar spans half my back and I wonder if they had caught it earlier if that would be different too but I'm just thankful daily that I'm here and thriving...and I'm sooo thankful for you too!! Truly a miracle! Let's keep doing our part to stay healthy and living intentional full purpose driven lives. ❤

    Hi Dr. Becky,
I live in South Africa. The sun is always shining here and there is always the risk of developing skin cancer if you have a light skin. I developed a growth on the lower eye lid of my right eye. I do not know if it is cancer or just a benign growth but I went on a high nutrition diet for about two months and the growth have shrunk noticeably.
I would like to share the diet with you.
    The soup
Ingredients: - two handfuls of Chopped broccoli, one chopped onion (purple), two bags of green tea, two pinches of mixed herbs, two sticks of cut celery, Two handfuls of frozen and crushed spinach or kale, half a table spoon of crushed garlic, Three shakes of black pepper, seven shakes of turmeric, two tablespoons full of apple cider vinegar (with the mother), one bag of white onion powder soup for flavour, a hand full of cooked red speckled beans and a handful of cooked mince meat.
Just add all the ingredients in a pot, add boiling water and switch the stove on high till the water boils. Then lower the heat until the water simmer, Let the soup simmer for an hour. The soup is now ready.
I would only drink water in the morning. At 12h00 I would start eating the soup. There will be about two helpings that you can eat in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame. I also ate a fruit salad every day in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
(Note: Apparently turmeric reduces the effect of some chemotherapy drugs and thus should not be taken during chemotherapy.)
During the rest of the week I would also eat food that contains vitamin D like avocado’s, mushrooms, liver and eggs in the 12h00 to 18h00 time frame.
It seems to be working for me, maybe it will also work for you.
I pray to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ that the cancer will not return. Amen.
I would also like to share the following five videos with you about salvation and two videos about evolution:
