😢 Non Bulls fans will never know how much Drose meant to the city. Especially where he came from! As a 22 year old player he single handedly ripped through the league and got the Bulls to the conference finals. If it wasn't for that dream team in Miami the bulls would definitely have won that year.

If you think Derrick Rose should be in the HOF, you might as well nominate Dwight Howard. Derrick Rose had a short window where he was a great player, but injuries derailed the trajectory he was going. The rest of his NBA career wasn't bad, but it wasn't HOF worthy for reasons no fault his own. To me, it seems like people are saying this based on what they believe Derrick Rose's career WOULD have been if he never got hurt and how much people in Chicago loved him as a player.
I think the HOF should be either open to truly great players or have different tiers at least. Because Michael Jordan, Shaq, Larry Bird, Kareem and Tim Duncan are on a different tier because they were great players for most if not all of their NBA career. OR.. the HOF should nominate every few years so they can have stronger candidates because it's becoming watered down. Michael Cooper is in the HOF and he's NEVER made an NBA all-star team and his career scoring average is 8.9. Why hasn't Byron Scott been inducted? He's was a Laker. I don't know what the criteria the HOF uses. It's not consistent.
That's at least what I think.

I believe the Bulls would of won the championship that year if he would have played, with Nate Robinson, when the doctor's cleared Rose To play .Ps. Retire Norman Van Lear number 2. And put him in the Hall of Fame. He has the same Numbers as , Bob love. Without the assist. That storm, Van Lear gave him. and 3 All Star appearances.

Gtfoh that is easily a HOFer. No debate. #1 pick to his hometown, took on the Boston Celtics his rookie year and damn near beat them. Made the Bulls relevant again. The man won MVP in a year where Dwight was his most dominate, in between Bron 4 MVPs, Kobe was still top 5, Bron formed the Big 3 in Miami beat them THREE times in the regular season. Lead the Bulls to the best record at a time where Heat, Celtics, Magic, Lakers, Spurs, Mavs & OKC where dominating. Then the next year before he got hurt lead the team to best record again in a shortened lockout season. No player in NBA history comparable to him. Told mfs he was going to be MVP and did it. Plus a HOFer is someone who impact is so important that you can’t tell the history of the league without mentioning him. And you gotta talk about D Rose.
