Let’s say that someone makes a salary of $36,000 per year and they want to know how much they make per hour. The formula for this is, hourly rate equals, yearly salary divided by the quantity, the number of weeks in a year times the number of hours per week.
We know their salary is $36,000 per year, there are 52 weeks in a year, and for this example, we are going to assume they work a typical 40 hour work week. Now we can plug into the formula. So, we have hourly rate equals, $36,000 divided by the quantity 52 times 40. This gives us $36,000 divide by 2080 hours, and this calculates to $17.31 per hour rounded off.
Next, let’s say that someone knows that they worked 2422 hours over the past year and they make $42,000 per year. We just put the total hours in the denominator, so, we would have hourly rate equals $42,000 divided by 2422 hours, and this calculates to $17.34 per hour rounded off.
And that is how you calculate hourly pay rate from yearly salary.

Here’s and example, if I get $20 and hour I would do 20 x 2080 = 41,600 a year, and if I wanted to find out how much someone made a hour based on their yearly salary just do how much they make a year, so if I made 70K a year I would do 70,000 ÷ 2080 = $33.6 I would make a hour, hope this helps
