He shows it all afterwards. He only copied that one so that he didn't have to go through trying to change the settings for the effects. He still shows the settings he used, so you're still getting the same info
I used masks with the stroke effect. Looks like you're using a shape layer for the stroke, check the Line cap settings in the Layer contents and set it to Round

This was great, thank you! Q: my "drips" roll down the screen in a choppy fashion while the "body" is smooth. Any idea why?
In case anyone else has this issue I found the solution by changing the "Spacing" under "Stroke" in the drips layer to 0%.
