  • My favourite coastal walk in the whole of Northumberland! Walking past a 12 century castle, along golden sands and finishing off in a pub for a drink and a snack, which was situated almost on the beach - a perfect day out!

Oh no...my comment is gone. I will drop a brief comment: I am glad to know your health condition improved. You have a big smile on your face. I wonder why. You don't have to deal with gusty winds from the sea.
What those yellow/orange plants are called? They look like gems
Your next year's plan is made.. Good luck to you.
The tide breaks are very uniques along the sea shore.oh..yes, you can not forget about your bird-eye footage of the ruin/castle.hahah You mentioned fees after fees to enter parks. In the US, we need filming permit as well for National Parks. I would say $100 and above. We are hoping the new law passes to ease the cost for small YTbers.
It is pleasant hike I truly enjoyed this week and I thank YOU

What a fantastic landscape, what colors. England is full of medieval castles and one is more beautiful than the other. Located in a beautiful place, overlooking the beach, it offers a fantastic view from the air. And finally, a picturesque small village with a charming restaurant for refreshments. Great video Alan👏👏👏

Hello Alan, the coastal walk was so beautiful, it was lovely to see the Castle as you passed by. The beach was gorgeous, can see why the locals don’t want too many people to know about it. Great that there was a pub to pop in before your walk back. The car park charge was rather steep but you made the mistake of it. So sorry to hear you had pneumonia but pleased you are feeling so much better. Looking forward to your centre parcs video. Take care xx Julie and Tony x

Hi Alan. 70 years soon...I would never say. I thought you were in the late 50s rather than the 70s. Young geniuses. I can say you took us on a wonderful walk, but I hope they didn't bother you for flying around the castle with a drone. If I come across the beer you recommended, we'll try it. Alan, gotta love an early morning walk on a week day. It's probably the best time to avoid any crowds. Those old castle ruins are super cool. 14th century? I just am blown away by how long your history goes back. I'm glad you're back out on a walk after the chest-infection and happy you're feeling better now. Golfers right by the trail, that's interesting. The castle made a nice backdrop by the beach and the sea. Finishing the day off in the pub was a great idea! Thanks for the video .

I can see why that is one of your favorite walks. Beautiful trail along the coast. The views of the castle are quite impressive. I agree that there would not be much benefit gained by paying the entry fee as much is in view from the trail. I agree about those dog baggies. I would rather see a dog crap on the trail than those baggies. So frustrating about inconsiderate dog owners. I'm surprised there were not more people along the beach having fun in the surf. I'm sure they will all be there for naked day. LOL. Nice walk and video highlighting the beauty of it. Have a great day.

    Hi Alan,
Caught up with this on the telly last night. Ah love a coastal walk! This one was way belter too! ⛱️. Stunning scenery, accompanied by the sound of the sea 🌊❤. £9 to park though 😮, such a shame when people are expected to pay that extortionate amount for such a lovely walk otherwise. Very glad to hear you are feeling better now, after being so ill. The wainwright's are always there, better to enjoy every one, and as you say, what better way to celebrate your 70th than completing all of them next year 🎉. Ooh the ship in looked great, a beer and a toastie, nice treat 🥪🍺👌. Big thumbs up from us as always, thanks for taking us along!

Bamburgh Castle is simply beautiful with fabulous history..
The Ship Inn looks a great place for a well earned pint after a good walk.

I got sick also after I came home from Yosemite because the trails kept going from cold to hot constantly, and it messed me up.I lost my voice and everything. But I'm feeling a lot better now, too! Amazing drone shots of the castle and the beach! Wow, just wow! I'm happy to hear that the beach is a lot cleaner than it was during Covid.

Great to see you back out again Alan & looking so well. That's also a favourite seaside walk of mine though it's only ever been a short one from the village as far as the castle. Perhaps I've been running back before my 3 hours was up 🤣 Did you say how much the car park was? I must have missed it 😃😅 .... only teasing but that really is scandalous ! Ive never paid to look inside the castle either so great use of the drone today. The pub looks lovely so one to add to the list. That beach looks fantastic &, must be a special moment having it all to yourself. I'm so pleased to hear you say you're going to take your time and enjoy doing the Wainwrights ... hopefully I'll be able to join you.on High Rigg & might even bump into you on the hills again sometime before ... think I'll stay home on 21st June
