Is it true that neem oil after mixing with water and soap can be use only in 8 hours and after that time it decomposes and is useless? I saw this information couple of times lately.

Good question! I’m not entirely sure. The manufacturer says that the product lasts about a year if stored in a cool, dark place. But I think it’s the soap that’s supposedly breaks down the oil. I usually store mine for about 2-3 months but I think it’s definitely more cautious to make a new smaller batch each time.

I think it’s because the neem oil can separate from the water. I was taught to mix the neem oil and soap first to properly emulsify, then add a bit of warm water to mix, and then fill the rest of the bottle with cold water. I’ve not had any issues with the oil separating again but usually go through a bottle within a few weeks

I was wondering if this was something that could handle not using fully right away. To be safe, I'll probably make smaller batches! Great video, Jen!

A few drops of peppermint oil (which some people believe also has pest prevention properties) with your neem oil mix makes it smell nice, not bad
