I think the weather is just right. Can you imagine all tales if only the stone could talk?! The cloudy sky over the Abbey shadow past events to that property. How wonderful if you found an old sketch of this stone place of a thousand stories!❤❤
Yes, it suited the atmosphere perfectly! I must try and research if there's a sketch, would be fascinating to get an impression of how it looked when first built ☺❤☘🧚♂
Have you ever seen The Detectorists? I love that one of the main characters, Lance, sometimes connects with sounds from the past, such as horses and armor clanking. He has a keen sense of places where the ancient people have been. My absolute fav scene is when his buddy Andy finds a hawking whistle and he blows it. Andy & Lance both get goosebumps and then leave the field. As they begin to walk away the viewer sees the landscape change, going backward in time. The trees shrink and such. I won't spoil the rest but that scene alone deserves an award. It has to do with the whistle, who owned it and what happened to them. In the background you hear the mysterious song, Magpie (sung by The Unthanks). I researched that song and what it means. It was written in the 60's by David Dods, and includes an old childs rhyme: One for sorrow, two for joy, three for a girl, four for a boy. Five for silver, six for gold; seven for a secret, never told. You can find that scene on YT but then you miss some very important info...and the old round abby nearby.
Hello Gillian. I hope all is well. Another wonderful video. It was so calming and peaceful. Your cinematography is spectacular. You definitely have an eye for impeccable detail. Thankyou for sharing your wonderful part of the world 😊
Morning cuppa and a hug from Gillian! So lovely to wake up to you and making the start of my day so enjoyable. So, hugs back to you. From France to Ireland 💕 Brigitte
I'd give my left toe to live in Ireland. And, every time I go, I explore the ancient ruins and old towerheads. This really brought me back. Thank you for your artistry! And one day (when I stop spending my money on plane tickets to Shannon Airport), I hope to buy one of your glorious pieces of jewelry!
Good morning and Happy Sunday my fellow tranquility seekers. I have my tea and scone at hand, this morning's vlog to watch. I hope everyone's day starts and ends with peace.
Another beautiful video! My Mom and her family are from Westmeath (Mullingar), we are in Canada now. Thank you so much for taking us to Fore Abbey! 🙏 As always, tranquil and beautiful cinematography!
Hello lost forest, thank you for another fantastic video, people travel 100s maybe 1000s of miles to see historical sites an ruins when we have so many of these ruins in our own island. Looks like the cattle are the keepers of the castle these days, 🐄☘️🌿
Thanks for taking us along to Fore Abbey. I DO love me some ruins and the beauty of Fore did not disappoint! Love the aerial views and all the rain sure does make everything green and gorgeous🍀💚🍀 Missing Ireland already😢 Love to you and the kitties❤😻❤
What a beautiful and atmospheric video Gillian. Thank you for sharing Fore Abbey and your deluge of rain with us! Wish we could get some of that rain in Texas☺
Hi Gillian, Stunningly BeautifuL And breathtaking as usual Thanks for taking us along on your journey😊I’ve been learning about different parts of Ireland from you and a couple other RUclipsrs our girls down the road from you in Dublin 💕😄
So spiritual looking feel so relaxed watching your lovely video Gillian . I must agree that our summer this year has been blah for torrential rain here in Scotland as well, but at least all our beautiful nature will be getting attended to with plenty of water 💧. 🌻🌻🌼🌼🪻🪻🌳🌳🐈🐈🐈⬛️🐈⬛️💜💜
So glad you enjoyed it Yvonne! Yes, everywhere is so lush now with all the rain- but we could definitely do with a bit of sunshine before summers over! 💕☘🍃
What a wonderful video!!Love seeing the ruins, and I loved the Beatrix Potter container for your tea bags!!! Thank You for sharing your Beautiful Homeland
Loved the visit to Fore Abbey- so beautiful and serene. Like you, I imagined past times there. These places call you. Totally enjoyed this video- thank you.
I love your sun face wall tile, with the welcoming hands, and so I decided to get one too, and she is on my house wall now, to the left of my front door, with heart shaped healing stones in her palms, to welcome anyone who comes to my home, including Madge my rescue greyhound and me I hope! xxx
Absolutely beautiful video! I was lucky and blessed with a work trip to Dublin! Every spare moment on that trip was spent either taking a train or tour bus out of Dublin into the countryside! One of those tours was to Slane Abbey on The Hill of Slane. Honestly, it was a life changing experience! Yes, the whole experience of Ireland was life changing but there was something, special, magical and soul transforming as I walked the beautiful remains of that ancient Abbey! My heart was definitely at home there! 💚😘🙏
Aw, that sounds wonderful- so glad you saw some beautiful parts of Ireland on your trip! Yes, abbey ruins really do have a special atmosphere to them 💕☘🍃
Another wonderful video. Very calming. 💚 I just have a question though, I hope you don't mind. Where do you get your background music, are they free to use, or do you need to pay a license to use them? They're lovely though and adds so much to the beauty of the whole video.
What a blessing to live in a land so lusch, so peaceful, so tranquil. It just takes my mind and soul away for a few moments every time you post. Thank you from way over here in California.
Thank you for your beautiful videos Gillian. The way you film them alongside your choice of music, transcends me to a calmer place. You touch the soul so gently, yet so powerfully. At times I feel quite emotional but that's ok. It is needed and accepted. Thank you again Gillian 😊
Hi from New Zealand … another beautiful video and a glimpse into your life and lives lived thousands of years ago in the Abbey. Thanks for the reminder to make even small actions like making tea intentional and mindful. Enjoy your week☺️
Love how you put the smiley faces in your drinks. I enjoy a good hot cup of blueberry tea in the fall and winter months. My main drink early mornings are my coffee. Your garden is so pretty! Inviting your cats into your videos are a joy to watch.
It makes me so happy when you take us exploring! There's so much of Ireland I didn't get to see when I was there. And I hear you about the rain - my best friend, who lives in Maine, hasn't been able to get to her hay, either. Everything's so wet there! She's maybe gotten 30 bales done this summer. oh! And I have the same face with hands sculpture hanging outside my bedroom window! it always makes me smile.
Aw so glad you enjoyed it Stephanie! We only had a very brief summer in June! I can't believe the amount of rain we've been having, your friend was lucky to even get 30 bales! Yes, the sculpture always makes me smile too ☘️🥰✨🙏
Another pleasant adventure shared, thank you. Love the kitties, the sped up drive to and from your day trip. The piano music, as always, is my favorite element of your videos. I really like The subtitle narrative (no talking), it so relaxing, inviting and gives your cinematography an elevated, superior quality that sets it high above other RUclipsrs. Your is my new FAVORITE!
Thank you for another beautiful video. I am enchanted by your boglands. And I know on a practical level they are important for drainage. Perhaps you will have a dry autumn, and winter. Everything is changing now. Our spring has become wet (my peonies and roses were a washout last year!), and our winters drier. My partner walked into the room part way through this video, and said, 'you look like you're away with the fairies!' and I replied, 'yes, I am'. Blessings to you and your family and farm, from NZ.🧚♂🙏💚♥
Hello Gillian! Such beautiful place! Thank you for taking us to this amazing and full of history place… Today at my church two missionaries from Dublin Ireland came to visit and I thought about you! I didn’t have a chance to talk to them but they reminded me so much about you. I loved the beautiful yellow flowers around. The music unbelievable beautiful- I saw my print too! Can’t wait to get it🥰! Until next week! Wish you well and love!💓🌸🐈⬛🐝🍄🦋
Every time I feel so calm and pleased after watching your video. This lush green of your farmland gives me a positive vibe and peace of mind. Love you my friend ❤
It amazes me that these places still exist. The arch entrance is interesting. You would think that it would collapse, but there it is. 🙂 Can you just imagine how long it took to build? Thanks for the beautiful, calm start to my day. Your pieces are so lovely ❣️ Hope you have a wonderful week. 💚
Did I say I love your garden!! Heh heh😍 your pendants are so nice, I really like them. Quite inspiring. What a beautiful place you live in, the abbey walls were strongly built to still be standing today. I wonder if theres a painting or drawing of it in its glory days. So much history. Thanks for the day 💕🌾🌼🌷🍀☘🍃
