    Valhalla plugins aren't a joke. They do as they say on the tin - which is probably why there are so few of them. The developer really cares about getting it right.

    For those people that want to make the pitch shifted delay work:
    Set the time value to notes: 1/4 and 1/2 work in most cases.
    Set the semitone/shift value at 5,7,12 those are the ones that work best for most purposes
    Set the detune/cents value at between -20 and +20 for a one-way modulation. Usually around 5-7 works best.
    Keep the feedback fairly low. Less than 50% is a good value
    This is a good starting point for beginners. Now go make some music!

I also like companies like Valhalla- they don't market with gimmicks. Their plugins are always $50. You get a license that expires *never.* You get unlimited downloads. And the sounds are delicious! It's great to see that you are active in the comment section, since you are checking why not share one of my bad experiences. I love this plugin on the sound design side of things but all options have noise floor that emits white noise without an option to turn it off. With my extensive sound design, I have processing that amplifies this white noise and it blinds my main sound. I tried communicating to Valhalla and they ignored my considerations. I hope maybe you can try to communicate this problem and explain how this definitely can be an issue! They need a button that optionally gets rid of white noise

    • @StaminaMC
      @StaminaMC 5 лет назад +3

      No such button will ever appear, not for any amount of campaigning. You'll just have to use something else if this doesn't do what you want, as Sean (Costello, Valhalla DSP) has explained that the noise is part of the sound of the delay, and that different results would be arrived at were this noise not there. The way it is = the way he wanted it; cases like yours are likely to remain the minority and not quite the intended userbase either, strictly speaking.

    Heb jij misschien een idee hoe ik het voor elkaar krijg om in een DAW (Cubase 5) een tape delay effect te maken door een vst delay output naar zichzelf te loopen met een EQ en tape saturation er tussen ? Dus met 1 repeat en daarna met andere plug-ins het signaal weer terug naar de input te krijgen. ???????? Cubase is voor feedback beveiligd en de meeste fx racks zijn alleen in serie te schakelen. Zou toch mooi zijn als het zou lukken.

    Why is everybody having a cold these days? It's May! Are you sure it's not allergies?

      The rhinovirus is an opportunistic and persistent little beastie. It strikes wherever and whenever it can find an opening. The only way to avoid these microscopic buggers is to stay away from people, don't touch anything, and wash your hands almost compulsively. Linus Pauling ate enormous quantities of Vitamin C and claimed never to suffer from a cold. He may, however, simply have had natural immunity. Some fortunate people seem to be immune. Wytse and I apparently are not among them. Ka-chew!
