I bought this Delay just now, I had seen your RUclips a while ago and was so amazed! Anyway I did go through your link here, I hope that you get a little something back... Wow is the only way to describe this phenomenon of a plug in and as you've pointed out, the presets sound so good you don't want to touch any parameter and leave it as it is. As you have pointed out, this is very rare in any plugin!
I just bought this because I needed a solid delay with a simple interface. Everything else was a bonus, and I am totally blown away!!! My reaction was much like yours (btw, not boring at all- I was laughing out loud watching your reactions here...) especially in response to the tape delay and the ridiculous flexibility. I also like companies like Valhalla- they don't market with gimmicks. Their plugins are always $50. You get a license that expires *never.* You get unlimited downloads. And the sounds are delicious! I'll be getting more when I can afford them. Worth every penny!
I have seen a lot of your videos. This is the first time I bought the plugin straight after watching the video. This is exactly what I have been looking for. A no nonsense delay plugin that sounds greats.
It's great to see that you are active in the comment section, since you are checking why not share one of my bad experiences. I love this plugin on the sound design side of things but all options have noise floor that emits white noise without an option to turn it off. With my extensive sound design, I have processing that amplifies this white noise and it blinds my main sound. I tried communicating to Valhalla and they ignored my considerations. I hope maybe you can try to communicate this problem and explain how this definitely can be an issue! They need a button that optionally gets rid of white noise
No such button will ever appear, not for any amount of campaigning. You'll just have to use something else if this doesn't do what you want, as Sean (Costello, Valhalla DSP) has explained that the noise is part of the sound of the delay, and that different results would be arrived at were this noise not there. The way it is = the way he wanted it; cases like yours are likely to remain the minority and not quite the intended userbase either, strictly speaking.
Man, I’m hooked on your Snake Oil videos! Can you make one on the sound quality of super cheap vs expensive audio cables? I feel there’s so much misinformation on this on the Internet.

I use the pitch shift and de tune with guitar and bass. You can get some awesome effects with this plugin for a guitar. Especially where my Genre of music is more experimental as it's all improvisational the jam band scene. We use a lot of pitch shift and detune effects like the pog pedal. Another awesome selling point for this plugin.
This is my favorite delay plugin for guitar, I’ve tried all of them and this is the best bang for the buck by far. Great sounding delay and a very versatile delay plugin, this is the delay I would choose if I could use only one. Buy it and spend a few hours learning how to dial it in. The presets are decent but once you understand how this plugin works you will wonder how this plugin is so inexpensive? It’s as good as anything on the market and better IMO.
Valhalla also has a free delay/reverb plugin called Supermassive that is absolutely insane. I personally like it for ambient things like pads and atmospheres, but by automating some things like the delay MS you can get some awesome glitchy effects as well.
