    Oh my this dress is MORE than "ok" give yourself a huge pat on the back...this dress is GORGEOUS and i don't think its to "loud" at all. Very Zimmermanesque just like that Vogue pattern. That trim really sets it off. I know once you put the final touches on it was be STUNNING. Again beautiful dress. Oh and i agree, no need for front and back to be open, that is A LOT 😂

    Hello Karon, I don't think you button loops are a "failure". They look very nice to me. Why do you think they included a zipper in the back? I agree with you, it should be one or the other. And, that would make the assembly a great deal easier too. You do lovely work.

    • @cookeka
      @cookeka  Год назад +1

      Sheila, thank you. They don't look like loops🙂
      I am not sure why the dress was designed with both the back and front opening, but one is enough 🙂
      Thanks for watching.

    Karon, this dress is just beautiful! I was starting to question the need for two openings as well. I’d skip the zipper all together. I think your loops turned out just fine, we are our own worst critics!

    • @cookeka

      Hey Donna, yes, two openings are a bit much, but I guess it's just another design feature that can be omitted or changed. I appreciate your kindness. Thank you for watching. Happy sewing.

    Great job on the dress. Trim width is perfect complimentLooks very high end. The loops won’t be as obvious as you think once you put the buttons on. Do you have a video on how you do French seams on the armhole? Seems like that would be difficult. Especially to do it as neatly as you do. Great job!

    • @cookeka
      @cookeka  Год назад +1

      Hello Carolyn, I appreciate your feedback and hope that the buttons will disguise the 'loops' as you suggested. Yes, I have a video on the channel showing how I use French seams to finish the armscye/armhole.
      Happy sewing 🙂
