Two Funny Mamas is hosted by Emmy Award winning host, comic, actress and New York Times best-selling author Sherri Shepherd and host, comic, Emmy Award winning actress and author Kym Whitley. As powerhouse comediennes and longtime friends, Sherri and Kym have been making each other - and audiences around the world - laugh for more than 25 years. About Kym Whitley:
These days, the majority of people know Kym Whitley either from her frequent appearances on Larry David’s groundbreaking HBO series “Curb Your Enthusiasm” or from “The Tom Joyner Morning Show.” But that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Kym is actually a comedienne, actress, activist, author and - perhaps most importantly - a mother.
She got her start in the Shelley Garrett play “Beauty Shop,” which started in L.A. and wound up doing a national tour. Her TV career took off during the mid-to-late ‘90s. Kym has appeared in “Married with Children,” “Moesha,” “The Wayans Brothers Show,” “’Til Death,” “Meet The Browns,” “Animal Practice,” “Two Broke Girls,” “The Bay,” “Young & Hungry” and “Twenties” (among others). Kym is also no stranger to the big screen. She’s appeared in “Next Friday,” “The Nutty Professor,” “Along Came Polly,” “College Road Trip,” “I Love You Man,” “Something Like A Business,” “Delivery Us From Eva,” “Fist Fight,” and dozens of other films. She also voiced the character Melonee in 2011’s “Rango.”

This podcast is so sporadic, unorganized, unpredictable, the ladies may take phone calls during the show, they may decide to eat dinner, they may leave the podcast altogether and then come back, they may ask Chris if they are live 20 minutes into the show, they may yell and scream at the boys during the show and these are all the reasons they won two NAACP image awards! It is so hilarious and it makes my day every time I see a new episode!!

Sherri "The Emperors has No Clothes" is a children's story about two tailors who made an invisible suit for the Emperor. They told the Emperor that only "stuipd" or " "incompetent" people would not be able to see his suit and he could expel them from his kingdom. Moral: he lost his kingdom.

No Sherri...the story was the the king was so vain he was tricked & convinced that if he wore a majestic coat/robe made of expensive fabric that everyone would adore him even more. So the king paid all this money for the coat and paraded through the town. Everyone as per usual saw the king yet to their horror they saw that he was naked parading through the town. Nonetheless they kept silent and just bowed their heads until he passed by this child who innocently said "Hey the King has no clothes on!" He was so embarrassed as the people stared laughing at him and then realized that he was duped and foolish and needed to but didn't know the truth.
Kym is right. A lot of people don't know who that Indian comedian is. "We don't know him." Hasan who? Chiiiile....
Yes, she is right; we didn't know who he is either until mention of him on this podcast. Some people didn't but now they do.
I love the daily show so I'm familiar with his work. Well... loved The Daily Show but watch less, now that they lost Trevor Noah, and now they lost Roy Wood Jr. I also watched Hasan Minaj's Obama interview.

I love love love this episode especially the unexpected unpredictable starts and stops and the hilarious moments in between and Chris chuckles and laughs just makes everything funny and his slick side commentary is the best!!! I love it when Kym said eww your eyes are huge, I literally laughed hysterically, and Chris laughs are so affections.. I love how there is no real script or structure, although Chris tries his best to keep the ladies on task lol but it would not be Two Funny Mamas if this was textbook! I love all you guys!!!!! And when Sheri started coughing when kym was talking and Sheri was drinking something but started coughing and then she had to go out frame for some reason was so funny to me. These ladies are naturally funny!!! Another Great episode yall
