I love how you are getting more and more sponsors... I really like that you are earning nore money, because you really deserve it... Working hard, being away from wifey a lot... Amazing work...
I have developed my own system. Have a Raspberry Pi connected to the HAN port and using wireless relays and temperature sensors. The temperature is automatically reduced if I use to much power, and avoid using energy during the most expensive time of day. To communication over the HAN Port I'm using the open source driver develop by BKK. Not the most polished version, but it works. But Tibber is a nice solution for people whom do not like to tinker with IT...
1:45 : here I'll recommend IKEA KOPPLA, that has 3 USB A. One addition plus for raspberry pi users it that it delivers 5.2V, reducing the low voltage warning. Ikea also have a USB power adapter with a long cord with multiple ports on the end. (Unfortunately for Raspberry Pi users: only 5.0V.) I have also seen in computer stores USB power adapters with 10 USB ports.
I like my dumbhome :) No hassle with apps.. no hassle with power sockets etc. Btw aren't there power sockets that have integrated these features? would be way more nicer. In all seriousness. I do wish to get some nice smart home things for temperature control at least. I have 3 buildings and would be handy to set up, monitor and control the heating in all those buildings remotely. In the house we have floor heating, with every room having the thermostat. Would be nice to have smart thermostats (I do have but they are not online, could wire a serial cable to them to set up from PC..) Then extra heating / cooling a heatpump unit which we mainly use. Floor heating is mainly for toilets and bathroom. Another extra heating is a fireplace. Garage also has a floor heating + heatpump. These would be especially handy to have a remote monitoring. Third building is an animal shelter for 2 horses. If we could have remote humidity and temperature monitor/control it would be nice :) I know it is possible already today but I would like to have a nice and clean unified solution :) First issue is to get a network connection to these other buildings. Wiring a cable is not an easy option since it would require tearing the yard apart so I need to setup some sort of WiFi to get good enough signal.
I love my Tibber! Full overview over my house energy consumption, and the cost of energy and you can plan your consumption and have smart charging of your EV⚡️⚡️
Takk for at jeg fikk verve meg selv til Tibber med din verve-kode. Bruk bonusen fornuftig ;-) NB! Det hadde vært kjekt med en oppfølgingsvideo, nå som du antagelig har brukt Tibber en del mere.
I'd like to know how many total KW I'm using, for example, be able to check at 15 o'clock and see that I've used say 15 kw since the day started,so I know how much energy I need to save the rest of the day with these new Nettleier priser som kommer i Januar ! 😭🤮
No mentioning of Tesla (or other brands) integration and smartcharging? It works without Easee, just connect the car to Tibber. It uses the cars position to see if you are home, and controls the car to start charging when the electricity prices are low.
@@maxprea5331 Norway has significantly less district heating compared to the rest of the Nordic countries. One of the main reasons is Norway's access to cheap hydro-based electricity.
Why sad? The difference is that I make separate videos of my sponsors. You and other people who are not interested can skip the video totally. And don't dislike the video! Other channels sneak in sponsored content in almost every video. That's sad.
@@bjornnyland I understand your point but it’s not only the video itself, it’s the start of every of your videos. You have an international channel and all your sponsors are only in Scandinavia. And on top of that we have all the advertising video from you tube. I thought that your videos will be free of RUclips adverts with your own sponsors? Now we have double doses ;-) Your channel is good as you are doing nice tests and relevant information not like most of the channels. But please try to get a bit off the commercial market or good ones as you will loose followers. I know you have a mansion to pay but too much advertising kill the advertising income ;-)
@@sacharanc it's literally less than 5 seconds at the start of a video, stop complaining. If you're so concerned about adverts get adblock and skip them all together. I much rather prefer full sponsor videos rather than upto a minute of each video being taken up by unrelated sponsors that you see in other channels
Like the other guy said, it's just 5 seconds. And remember that ABRP works worldwide. Kempower also has customers all over Europe. Maybe you should know more about my sponsors? ;)
We do, most open systems support voice, Tibber is only power supplier locking you via their app. They just steal your data from all other setups and sell it.
I dont want shit to spy on me more than necessary. Its enough to let the powercompanies spy on our power usage. Forced on us as well. Welcome to the future. Where big data is worth more than freedom
The new operating system Harmony OS from Huawei will make it possible that you don't need apps for smart home / iot devices anymore. Really looking forward trying it out.
You can already achieve that with the open source Home Assistant software. Locking yourself into a specific smartphone, smart device or app is just stupid and you will regret it once it stops working or the company drops the support. Same is true for "smart" devices, that don't work offline, once the servers are shut down, they all will turn into paper weight / e-waste.

hardest working yt i know when it comes to driving and all those tests : )
Couldn't agree more he's the hardest working man I've ever seen

I love all these smart home things. I've been setting up a lot of Zigbee lights here lately.
Same. Home Assistant + Zigbee are brilliant.
I now have a habit of saying fricking fossils every time i see or hear fossils
Tell us about your plans for the new home you are building. Maybe integrate all these fancy systems in a sophisticated fashion? :)

Great video, Bjørn! Would be interesting to see a follow-up video after all the censors have been installed and to see what you recommend

Waterheater in Oslo?
What do you mean?
Ok, so there is no ”central heating” in Oslo. In Sweden big citys have ”värmeverk” that supplies hot water that is used for heating and hot water.
@@maxprea5331 Norway has significantly less district heating compared to the rest of the Nordic countries. One of the main reasons is Norway's access to cheap hydro-based electricity.
Rice cooker. ….. no house should be without one .
Better to eat more sustainable, local food. Wheatberry is an excellent and healthier replacement for it if you live in the West!
Shout out to all Norwegian electricians that want to be on video, Bjorn needs your help
5:44 4680 Power Up
Great video.
More Tibber, please 👍
Homey, a dutch invention..
I use Tibbers smartcharging with Tesla wall connector
You are lucky. I can't get Tibber and I can't charge at home at all. All my charging is on a DC charger.
Omg, too complicated
Only for people in Sweden, Norway & Germany
Forget Tibber, all other solutions is global and no need to get tied to subscription deals.
Very good and informative video!
Elsker tibber!
Du finner flere andre systemer du ikke trenger å vare låst til Tibber som strøm kunde, di viser data i santid ikke førsinket over treig app/internet.
Hei! Kan du lage en oppdatert video om tibber nå?
man, that Sensibo thing is smart af!

That is not a PTC heater.

As long as it is related to EV it is useful content masquerading as ads which is the best kind of ad. Tibber works very well.
Y'all don't have Google Home or Alexa over there?
It appears next level; you can't track power usage with assistants
