From this setup I have evolved very slightly. Stand alone float pole w simtech float brackets makes life so nice. I have tweaked electric connections to make life more enjoyable as well. But this is a solid setup. Nice work guys.
Wholesale Septic is a very nice company, the one near me is like an OSSF trade-show. Nice demo but wow what a mess of dirt. My pump was full of plastic drill shavings. My pump has also once jammed b/c the installers didn't/don't comprehend head-pressure where the teeth on the motor jammed in the pump, I ended up putting larger low-angle-nozzles on my sprinklers to prevent the head-pressure from destroying my pump. Three 3-GPM sprayers are not enough for a 10-GPM pump & it's more horrific if it's just a 2 sprayer setup with a 10-gpm pump, wild that installers in my area are allowed to be so deficient.
Hey Dominick, I have a question for you. Can a pump seem to be ok when testing it out of the tank but not have enough pressure to feed a sand filter? Trying to figure out if my pump is bad or sand filter is getting plugged. Originally, I pulled the pump thinking it was plugged and it was. I cleaned everything out and hooked it up. It seemed to be pumping good for about 5 minutes. Then it started to slow down. The pump has probably been running 24/7 for who knows how long since it was really slow to drain. Can the pump appear ok if its just running 3ft but not strong enough to get to the filter when it's connected? Thanks for the help!
I have the exact same pump at my house. There is a 3rd float (it is blue) and it is not connected to the pump/pole at all. It is floating around loose and triggering the alarm. Do you have any idea what this third float is for and where it should be?
The company that put in my system installed for a new home, six years ago. Been pumped once. But, it's been alarm issues and crisis with the sprinklers since early on. And, 3 GFCIs. Now I know why. Every time I pass by it I cross my fingers. Sometimes I think maybe another company and a big redo. So tired of it.
